Chapter 11: Welcome Home!

Rachel's POV

"What where am I?" I said loudly.

"Shhh you're still in the hospital baby. You don't wanna wake Charlotte," Finn whispered.

"Oh crap I forgot!" I said.

"How did you forget?" Finn laughed.

"Well I wasn't woken up the whole night! I'm surprised she wasn't hungry!" I said.

"Honey it's um 3:30 am. She hasn't needed to eat yet, but she's getting fussy," Finn said.

"Have you not fallen asleep yet?" I said confused.

"I did but she's been up for an hour and I didn't want to wake you so I've been trying to get her back to sleep, and she just shut her eyes."

"I love you."

I leaned over to kiss Finn and Charlotte began to cry.

"Shi.. I mean Crap," Finn said.

"Let me see her." Finn handed Charlotte to me.

I leaned Charlotte on my arm and whipped out my breast. I began to breastfeed Charlotte until she was full.

"Is it bad that I'm jealous of our daughter right now?" Finn said laughing.

"FINN CHRISTOPHER HUDSON!" I jokily slapped him.

"What? Dr. Taylor said that we had to wait 3-4 months before 'sexual interactions' and that's going to be hard! We barley got to do it for 9 months!"

"Okay Finn that's enough! And I think Charlotte is done too."

"Okay baby girl! Let's burp you!" I said.

After I burped Charlotte Finn took her and put her on her portable crib.

It was about 9:00 AM now and Charlotte woke up about 5 times last night. Finn was still sleeping and I was about to get up to get Charlotte, but someone came in the door.

"Rachel don't get up while your resting! Here I'll get her," Carol Hudson (Hummel) said.

"Yay you guys are here!" I said.

"We didn't want to bug you guys last night so we decided to come this morning," my father Leroy said.

"Dads! Yay you guys got home!"

Finn woke up.

"Oh hey guys," he said yawning.

"Hey baby! I'm so happy for you!" Carol said.

"Yeah Kurt would not stop talking about how much she looked like you last night; we were getting jealous!" Burt said.

"Here Carol you wanna grab Charlotte and hold her?" I said.

"Well, it would be an honor!" Carol said picking up Charlotte.

"She's been feeding really well actually. Dr. Taylor said her latch is really good."

I looked over and saw Finn slightly uncomfortable.

"That's great honey! And wow! She looks identical to Finn. Except the mouth.. that's all her mom!" Carol said.

"That's what I said!"

All the parents took turns holding her.

"Honey," my father said,"We have a surprise for you. So, you know our apartment that we use for storage? Well, your father and I and Burt and Carole all talked about it, and we decided to give you the apartment! For you and Finn! you guys can stay there until you move for college or for Broadway and what not!"
