Chapter 13: Planning the Future

Finn's POV

"Hey Santana wait up!" I said running to Santana

"Okay so Rachel told me you want to come to New York with us."

"Yep sure do... why?" Santana said.

"Well Rachel had an idea. Maybe while her and Kurt are at NYADA me and you can give music lessons? We can even maybe compete in competitions?" I said.

"That actually sounds like a lot of fun!" She said hugging me. "Can't wait!"

"I know!"

The bell rang and we walked into glee club.

"Mr Schue, I need your help with something."

"Sure what is it Finn?" he said.

"Well once schools over Rachel, Kurt, Santana, and I are all going to New York, and Santana and I are going to open a singing lesson business so I was wondering if you wanted to help us with getting started. Like maybe come with us to find a place for the business?"

"I would love to Finn!"

I sat down and listened to Mr. Schue talk.

"Okay so we may have on regionals, but now it's time for nationals! We all know that Rachel can still compete so she can get a solo. Also Mercedes and Santana you're doing a duet. And we will all close in a group number. So let's rehearse!" Mr. Schue said.

After glee club Mr. Schue held me back.

"Hey Finn, do you think you can give this music to Rachel and have her practice? Also do you think maybe one day she could come in to a glee practice to, well, practice? I totally understand if she can't."

"Oh yeah! And I'm sure she would LOVE to come in!"

"Okay great! Tomorrow then?"

"That's perfect! Bye Mr. Schue," I said waking out the door.

Rachel's POV

I was feeding 2 1/2 week old Charlotte, and Finn came walking in the door.

"Hey baby!" Finn said.

"Hey Finn!" I said happy to see him.

I got up and kissed.

"How's my baby girl doing?" he said in a baby voice and patting Charlotte's head while she was eating.

"She's doing just fine." I said.

"Oh Rachel by the way... you're soloing at nationals and you're singing Fix You by Coldplay," he said. "Also, do you think tomorrow you can come to glee club? Mr. Schue said you can bring Charlotte, and I can hold her!"

"Ugh I would LOVE to!" I said.

We ate dinner and out Charlotte down then went to sleep.

I couldn't wait to go to glee tomorrow!

-The Next day-

Finn left for school at 7:45 and I was waiting for end of the day glee.

It felt like FOREVER!

FINALLY it was 3:15 and I went ahead and left. I put Charlotte in her car seat and was out the door!

I arrived at the school at 3:33 and walked in to the choir room.

"Okay class so..." Mr. Schue said as I walked in.

"Rachel!" Kurt said as I walked in the door with Charlotte.

"Hey guys!" I said holding Charlotte's car seat.

Everyone got up and hugged me.

"Oh my gosh! She's gotten so much bigger!" Quinn said.

"Aww I can't wait to live with her!" Santana said.

"Okay, okay stop looking at my percent angles and sit down! We have to practice for nationals!" Finn said.

"Finn stop being so jealous that your child gets more ladies than you!" I said laughing.

I went over and sat by Finn. He took Charlotte out of her car seat and held her.

"Okay Rachel do you want to practice your solo?" Mr. Schue said.

"Sure!"

I got up and started singing.

"That was beautiful!" Tina said.

"We are so gonna win!" Blaine said.

"Mr. Schue? Do you think I can come to after school glee everyday? I mean we need to practice and I need to learn the dance moves!"

"Of course Rachel! And feel free to bring Charlotte! I think everyone loves her!"

I sat down and looked at Finn and Charlotte. She was holding on to Finn's finger. For the last 15 minutes of glee we were all just taking turns holding Charlotte and watching her in Finn's arms.

"She's so perfect! And she looks adorable in Finn's arms!" Quinn said taking a picture.

Charlotte started to whine, but she wasn't crying all the way. She opened her eyes and was looking around.

"Hello CharBear... how's my baby girl?" Finn said in a baby voice.

He tickled her stomach to try to cheer her up.

She was still fussy.

He handed her to me and got up and began singing.

"This was a good day." I said to Finn.

"It sure was," he said and we both feel asleep on the couch.
