Hurt. (A Rhett and Link Fanfic)

Chapter 6

When we finished filming, I'd noticed that Katherine had some how made her way behind the camera watching us. I smiled at her and walked up to her.

"So I was thinking that maybe you could come live with me and we can go get your stuff from Link's house later today." I said to her. She nodded and we went back to our own offices. I sat down at my desk which was right across from Link's. After about 5 minutes link came in and plopped down. I smiled at him but he just looked down at his work. I sighed silently and he started typing.

Link's POV

Every time I looked at Katherine, I felt this burning feeling inside my chest. Especially when she smiled, laughed, or giggled at jokes Rhett and I made, except when she laughed at one of my jokes, I smiled. I understand that she was still pissed at me, but I couldn't help but still want and love every aspect of her. She was so beautiful and I wish I told her that more often. After work I was told that Katherine was coming by my house with Rhett to come get her stuff. At least her clothes and small stuff, like shoes and bathroom stuff. I got my things and went out to my car. When I got to my car I was greeted by Ally. Great, Just the person I want to see.

"Hi Ally." I said opening my car door.

"Link, last night was amazing." She said. I sighed angerly and felt like knocking someone out.

"Ally, I want you out of my life. I just lost the love of my life because I made a dumb ass mistake by sleeping with you." I said. I got in the car and shut the door. I started it and drove off. Once I was home I gathered a lot of Katherine's bathroom things and put them in a grocery bag. I made sure to keep some of her shampoo and conditioner, just in case she comes running back one day. I set it down on the sofa before I heard the doorbell. I opened the door to see Katherine and Rhett. I wanted to kiss her so bad, but I knew I couldn't. I let them in and Katherine ran upstairs.

"So where is she sleeping?" I asked.

"The guest bedroom." Rhett replied. I was just trying to protecting my girl.

"Ok." I said. We waited a few minutes before we went upstairs and helped Katherine get all her things. Once we got all of her stuff packed Rhett had to go to the bathroom.

"Katherine you don't have to leave. We can work through this. I promise!" I said, trying to persuade her. She shook her head.

"Link I'm sorry, but.....never mind..." She said.

"No please tell me." I pleaded.

"I have a crush on someone else..." She said quietly.

"Its barely been a day!" I said.

"Well who said I didn't have a crush on them before we broke up." She said. I looked at her dead in the eyes, and I couldn't take it anymore. I kissed her passionately, to my surprise she kissed back then quickly pulled away.

"Link I'm sorry, I can't do this anymore." She said, crying.

"No, no, now, don't cry." I said to her. She nodded drying her tears. Rhett came back out and we got all of her stuff. We put it in the back of his truck and we all said goodbye.

God, I love her.
