Hurt. (A Rhett and Link Fanfic)

Chapter Fourteen.

Rhett's POV

I was walking up the hallways with a bag of food from McDonald's and a bag of clothes, and chargers, etc. I walked up to Link's room and opened it to find Kat cuddling with Link. I gave off a nasty scowl towards Link. Then remembered he's in a coma, and Katherine would have been the one who crawled up there next to him. I walked over to her and shook her shoulder gently.

"Hey, honey. I have clothes and food." I said. She groaned and looked over at me. She smiled and got up out of the bed. She sat down on a chair and then I handed her a burger. I sat down next to her and we ate in silence. Once we were done eating I handed her some clothes and she shook her head. I chuckled and she came and curled up on my lap. She giggled as I grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around us. She snuggled deeper into my chest and smiled wider. I looked over at Link and sighed. I looked back down at Katherine and she was knocked out. I smiled warmly and then grabbed my phone. I took a selfie with Katherine in my arms and posted it on Instagram. I looked back down at her then up at Link. I took a photo of Link and decided to post that as well, along with a tweet, and a Facebook post. I scrolled through Instagram and the time flew by. I was about to put my phone down when I heard Katherine start to mumble in her sleep.

"No, no, d-dont leave me. Please....your all I have. Please..." She said in her sleep. I looked at her concerned.

"Rhett, please. Please don't leave me. Link won't help me, and I have no family.." She said again. Why would I ever leave her?? Katherine is everything I need and want.

"Ah!" She yelped a little like she was in pain. I looked down at her. My shirt had become soaked with tears. She was still asleep. I was about to wake her up when she started talking again.

"Please don't hit me again, Rhett. I'll run away." She said crying, she yelped again and then she shot up. I looked at her with shook. I pulled into my lap and stroked her hair as she cried into my chest.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I-I had a bad dream." She said still crying.

"What was it about?" I asked. I kinda did know what it was about but you know.

"Just a bad dream." She said defensively. I nodded and kissed the top of her head. She snuggled deeper into my chest and I stroked her hair. We both soon fell asleep.

The next morning...

Katherine's POV

I woke up in Rhett's arms and he was staring down at me.

"Mmmm...good morning, baby" I said before kissing him. We both smiled through the kiss, then I remembered where we were and why we were there, my smile faded. I pulled away and stud up from Rhett's lap. I sat down in my chair.

"Sleep good?" He asked. I nodded.

"After the nightmare." I said. He chuckled a little. We sat there all day waiting for the moment Link would hopefully wake up but instead a doctor came in at like 9.

"Doctor please tell me he's ok." I pleaded.

"Well, I have good news and bad news." He said.

"Which one do you want first?" He asked. I looked up at Rhett.

"The bad news." I said and Rhett nodded.

"Well, Link hit his head when he fell from the overdose so he will have some memory loss, that is also what caused the coma. The good news are that he is going to be ok." He said. A wave of relief washed over me. He was going to be ok.

"When will he wake up?" Rhett asked.

"Either tomorrow or tonight." He said. I smiled up at Rhett and the doctor left.

"I love you." He said, giving me a kiss.

"I love you too." I said giving him a quick peck. I looked back at Link and sighed. Half of me wants to go back to him, but the other half is screaming to stay with Rhett.

Sorry it took forever to get this out!!!! I was really tired and stuff. I'm so sorry, I'm making a new fanfic and that's why this wasn't out. I'm really sorry and I hope y'all aren't mad at me. Anyway I love all of y'alls support! Bye!
