How did you do that so quickly?" I manage to catch my breath and say.

"Listen, I know you might not believe me now but you still have to know the final difference between us and humans. I think you will believe me once you see it", he says, still holding on to my wrist with an iron grasp.

"Okay, I'll hear you out and then you'll let me go after." I'm momentarily surprised by how calm I sound even while my heart was beating its way out of my chest.

"Okay," he says, nodding.
It wasn't a question, i think, glaring at him.
I'm taken aback by my disappointment when he steps back.

He then starts lifting up his shirt and I start protesting when he cuts me off.

"I'm not That kind of guy so relax and just wait." And so I do what he said, just out of pure curiosity.

And perhaps because I wanted to sneak a peek of his body.

Damn. He really was fit. He had a six pack right there in the middle, plus he was amazingly tanned. I catch myself drooling and quickly avert my eyes to look at his face, trying to ignore how amazingly sexy he is.

I hear him snort and snap, "What?" my cheeks beginning to flush bright pink. I wish I wasn't that easily affected by his half-nakedness.

He chuckles and then slowly turns around.

I notice a weird tattoo on his left shoulder and walk the distance between us so I could take a closer look. It was a tattoo of a full red moon with two black crescent moons on each side. It was framed by a series of black knots.

I step back and say, "So? It's just a tattoo, anyone could get that in any tattoo store."

Somehow, I don't really buying what I said , because I get this gut feeling telling me that there really was something special about this exact tattoo but I just didn't know what. But I wasn't completely convinced.

"You have one." He surprises me by saying calmly.

"Really?" I say, already knowing the answer before he nods.

I walk to the bathroom to check in the mirror. I surprise myself by taking my shirt off while Aaron was still in the doorway of the bathroom, not even bothering to close the door.

I just stand there in my bra gazing at the tattoo that indeed did decorate my left shoulder. But there was one difference about mine.
The full moon of mine was gold and not red, and I had no elaborate knots framing it.

"Why is mine different?" I ask, still gazing at it.

I glance at Aaron in the mirror as I hear him take a deep breath.

"You're different," he whispers, gazing at my tattoo and suddenly making me feel self conscious.

I realize we're both standing in the bathroom with no shirts on. I was just grabbing my shirt when Aaron reaches out and caresses my tattoo slowly. I feel a shiver run though me and it was not because I was topless.

"Different how?" I ask, still looking into his eyes in the mirror. "And how can I know this was not just a tattoo I got before I lost my memory in that crash and you're here to play some trick on me?"

He chuckles. "Even without your memory you still doubt everyone,"he says, turning his gaze to the wall with his hand still on my shoulder.

"Did you know me before the crash?" I ask, suddenly feeling defensive.

"There was no crash." He finally meets my eyes in the mirror. "Yes I did know you before, we had quite a history together actually."

The way he looks at me right then sends a chill down my spine. It's like those kind blue eyes staring at me have lived and died so many times.
