This Council is responsible for all the "Vampyres" around. Wait a minute, how many Vampyres are there?
"How many of us exist?" I ask, looking all around the table, as each one gazes at me dumbfound by the question.
"Well?" I say, breaking the silence that was starting to form, gazing at them as their lips pursed in a thin line.
"Not much of us are left", Lucan finally says, sighing.
"Why?"I continue as I start to get this itchy feeling in the back of my head. I feel like I know why but I just can't focus enough to figure it out.
Lucan's eyes turn cold as his voice lashes through the air."We shall talk about this later", he stat, glancing around the table as if daring anyone to argue with him.
"We don't want to scare the girl Lucan", Charity's voice rings with kindness as she glances at Lucan, "Be easy on her", she says softly.
He sighs, "Very well, lets start with her affinity. We need to know what are her abilities", he says looking me up and down as everyone else follows suit and suddenly I feel very uncomfortable.
"Is it water perhaps?" Chasity chimes in, curiosity shining in her soft brown eyes.
"Shall we try sister?" Charity says standing as she and Chasity make their way towards me.
I stand still as they on either side of me, facing each other.
"We will do a simple spell in which only a fellow with a water affinity can feel", Chasity says, smiling warmly at me. I nod as they close their eyes and murmur something at the same time.
"Water, Waters Of Life
Gentle Rain, Soft Mist, And Tidal Pools
Water Of Wonder, Mystery Of Our Hearts
Water Of Wonder, Mystery Of Our Hearts"
They finish in unison as I let out a gasp.
Suddenly, I'm no longer in the room, I'm in the ocean. Standing on top the ocean to be more specific, the waves gently rocking underneath me as the salty smell washes over me. I can actually see through the water as if its transparent and I let out a giggle as I watched all the fish and creatures of sea swim by underneath me.
With a soft Whoosh, I'm back in the room, just in time as Chasity and Charity are opening their eyes.
"So, did you feel it?", Charity asks, her eyes huge with wonder.
I nod, my cheeks flushed from the experience.
Chasity nods her approval as Charity hugs me.
"Welcome to the water family", Charity says, clasping my hand in hers. I smile weakly at her but something dawns on me as everyone nods and congratulates me. My eyes meet Kaira's who cocks an eyebrow at me, as if she knew what I did.
I then turn my gaze to Lucan who doesn't seem as cheery as the others about this. Actually, he looks quite disappointed.
Lucan was just opening his mouth to speak when the door burst open and Aaron came striding in, his eyes fixed on me.
Oh, shit were the first words I thought when his cold blue eyes focused on mine.
"Nora", he says, nodding my way.
"Aaron", I reply, returning his nod.
"Your honor, the Council", he says, bowing ever so lightly as he addresses the members.
"Oh, Aaron you are just in time, we were just celebrating Nora's affinity", Charity says, her eyes gleaming with joy.
"Interesting, and what affinity would that be?" He says, his eyes never leaving mine.
