I wake up screaming: "Wait,Wait,Wait." It was like that was the only word I could say after waking up.
Aaron runs in to the room. "Nora? Are you okay?" He looks all around the room and when he makes sure there was nothing, turns back to me.
The first thing I notice about him was that he was wearing nothing but his boxers, which were black with batman signs all over them. I let out a little gasp when I see that he had a small black revolver in his hand.
Oh great, the guy has a gun and my main focus is his nakedness. Completely normal.
"I'm fine", I manage to mutter, still staring at the gun. He follows my gaze and then quickly walks out of the room and comes back 5 seconds later without it.
"Sorry, just precautions", he mutters, standing there, not the least bit awkward about being almost completely naked.
"Yea...It was just a bad dream, nothing to worry about." I try to keep my eyes off his body and on his face which was smiling a cocky, lop-sided grin.
"Okay then, I'll just be going now." He takes a step towards the door before I call him.
"Aaron?"
He stops and turns back to me, face serious now. "Yea Nor?" He replies, face expectant.
"Oh, nothing, never mind. Sorry I woke you up", I say ,feeling myself flush at what I wanted to ask him.
He flashes me a cocky grin, as if he could read my mind and I feel myself redden even more. He doesn't close the door completely when he gets out, as if leaving an open invitation. I shake my head at the thought.
After what seems like forever, I get up and head for the kitchen, I pour myself a cup of orange juice and drink it in one gulp. After I wash my cup, I head back to the room. While passing the living room, I glance up at Aaron who's plopped up on the couch.
"Why are you sleeping on the couch?" I ask, pausing in the middle of the hallway.
"Cause you took the bed", he replies with a DUH! face.
"But there's another room, isn't there?" I say, frowning.
"Yea, but its not for sleeping",he continue, sitting up straighter.
I got a little curious, as I glanced down the hall to the closed door.
"Then what is it?" I ask, a little surprised by my boldness.
Aaron gets off the couch and starts toward the room. I follow as he opens up the door to a room smaller than the one I was sleeping in.
It, like the other one, had floor to ceiling closets with mirror doors, but other than that, it was mostly empty, there were two shelves that held a couple of books on them, nothing interesting. I walk in and look out the big window that showed the same view as the balcony. The window was curtained with brown curtains, I note.
"What is it with all the brown in this house?" I ask, remembering the brown couches, carpets and curtains.
Aaron shrugs. "I like brown, it's a nice color", he justifies simply.
"So, there is pretty much nothing in this room", I point out,, looking around once again. I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I had really bad bed hair, so I reach out trying to calm it down.
I looked tired. I had dark circles around my eyes, and I walked with my shoulders a little slumped. I stand up a little straighter, feeling Aaron's gaze on me while I unsuccessfully continue to try to calm my bed head.
