I nervously glance at Lucia who's expression mirrors my horrified one. The headmistress turns around and heads the other way and we obediently follow.

"I don't like lies Annora," says the Mistress Dayane after we've settled into her huge office. She has a beautiful black cat perched on the desk, regarding us with curiosity.

"Which is why I have invited the leader of the council to set things clear," her voice rings out loud and clear and I watch as , out of nowhere, the man from my dreams known as the leader of the council, Lucan steps out.

"I have heard you have already caused quite a few problems here, Nora," he says, frowning at me.

"It was not intentional." My voice comes out as a whisper but they all hear it nonetheless.

"It's true. It was not her fault," Lucia interjects and I flash her a small smile.

"Miss Lucia, I assume you have no business here so it would be best if you gave us some time alone," says the headmistress before the doors swing open.

I can see the hesitation on Lucia, so I give her a small nod and she leaves. Panic grips me when the doors close behind her and I try to take slow deep breaths to calm myself down.

"Nora," Lucan starts and I look up at his dark, dark eyes that are studying me before returning my gaze to the floor. "If my resources are correct, which they always are, you created an earthquake yesterday in the student garden. And just now, you lit a student's skirt on fire. Is this true?"

His voice is firm and cold, sending shivers down my spine.

"Yes." My voice is barely a whisper and I wonder if they heard me.

"What was that?" I hear the Mistress snap. I look up to glare at her almond-shaped green eyes.

"Yes." My voice has taken on a surge of confidence as I straighten my shoulders.

They want the truth... Then that's what they'll fucking get.

"Yes. I have used the earth element in the student garden and the fire element in the hallway on a bitch who got on my nerves. I apparently also have the water, air and spirit element in my power." My eyes register the genuine disbelief on the Mistress's face and the faked surprise on Lucan's face.

"But you already knew that, didn't you?" I snap, glaring at him, no longer intimidated by his unhumanly eyes."I bet you even knew I was attacked twice before finding out about all this and that I was attacked this morning." My voice gets higher with every word and somehow, I end up standing in his face.

"You knew all that, didn't you? Answer me," I scream when he stays perfectly quiet. But he doesn't need to answer because the guilt in his eyes says it all.

His eyes wander to Mistress Dayane and with a nod of his head, she leaves. When the door closes after her, I no longer feel safe.

His bottomless black eyes bore into me while he studies my face.

"So you've figured it out. You can control all five elements."

"Well, duh," I snap, annoyed.

"Watch your tone. You might be one of the most powerful Vampyres out there or dare I say, you are THE most powerful Vampyre out there but you are still a mere teen," his voice takes on a deadly tone, making me shrink back in my chair.

"I did not say or do anything about those attacks because I wanted to see your capabilities, but in case you were wondering, yes. It was me who sent those men after you. No, my intention was never to hurt you but I also knew that the only way for you to discover your powers on your own was through anger. Anger at being attacked. And it worked, didn't it?"
