"Robert! Zach! I need you both to come with me!" The two were outside the quarantine unit and looked up with tear filled eyes. "What is it?" Zach croaked. Before giving my statement, I hug both of them warmly, placing light kisses on their foreheads. "Guys, you're going to think I'm crazy.. it's kind of obvious something is targeting Austin. But I think I found a clue! I found a piece of jewel, which I know belongs to none of us. I helped you all go and arrange your things-"
"Stop." Robert sternly spoke. Anger laced in his tone. I stop talking and look at him fuming. "You need to stop! Stop with your little assumptions! Austin is near death in there, and what are you doing? Running about and leaving him alone!?" Robert yelled. I flinched and backed away, only to be put against the wall. "You should be here as moral support! You're just like Victoria! Only thinking about yourself.. Get out of here. I don't want to see your face."
My mouth was agape, heart pounding, and tears beginning to well in my eyes. When Robert noticed I didn't move, he yelled louder, causing me to walk away. How could he compare me to Victoria? I'm nothing like her! I should be here with Austin, but I have to crack this case! This can save Austin's life. And I will put whoever did this in prison..

"What's causing these speculations?" The private investigators asked me. "I found a piece of jewel in my home, something that had to came from jewelry or something like that. No one in the house, has something of that color jewel. I'm thinking someone who has something against Austin snuck in and planted this purposely for him. I have ideas."
The investigators heard and listed everyone who I listed. From the girl at the mall who flirted with him, the man who tried to hit on me, anyone who seemed suspicious. "Please, my boyfriends life in on the line. Please, help me. Do this for me." I beg. I'm desperate. I'm tired from running back and forth. This is my only shot.
"Okay. Start rounding and contacting these people. We need them here now."

"I have such a headache." I mutter as I sit at a table looking over the suspects who came in. Almost all of them came. I couldn't help but feel like there was someone else who I was forgetting. Jake sat before me, and rubbed my hand. I cringe at the action but I don't pull away. Jake came here and apologized to me for how he behaved in the past.
Now he has a stable job and a pregnant girlfriend. Talk about starting early. "Jake, what do I do. These past few days have been nothing so fucking terrifying. They don't even want me to come by and see Austin." My voice cracks, and he wastes no time to pull me into a hug. "They will find the person who did this. Austin will get better. He will."
A knock on the door made us slowly pull away from our hug, and I see Samuel enter the room. He observed the close proximity between Jake and I, and his eyes turn dark and focused. "Can I talk to Jaylynn? Alone?" Jake nodded and patted me on the shoulder before heading out.
The look in not their eyes did not cease to pass me. Something was up. "Samuel, thank you for coming today. It really means a lot." Samuel looked at with me with scorn filled eyes. "How dare you ask me to come here? How could you suspect me? It's hurts me how you think I could ever do such a thing!"
I tried to reason and calm Samuel down. I merely explained how I wouldn't think he would do harm to Austin, but in that moment I was desperate. Not to mention, how much Samuel scowled whenever Austin was mentioned. Why did he care so much? The others who came didn't. I begin making my own guesses and scenarios.
A harsh grip on my forearm snapped me out of my daze, and Samuel firmly holds me in his grasp. "Don't you ever betray me like that." He threatened, laced with a scary and dominant tone. I shudder and rub my arm, as I see him leave.
Something is definitely up.
