Chapter 08: Backstage

Victoria and I were given the special opportunity to stay for Austin's concert after party. I was still left in a daze that I got to actually kiss Austin Mahone! My heart swelled and butterflies fluttered in my stomach. Victoria was so excited and happy for me. "I ship you two so much! My baby bean is growing up so much." She warmly hugs me and heads off to go get some food.

Meanwhile I was at the table where all the different sweets and candies were displayed. Hogging down the Skittles, I feel two arms wrap around my waist. I jump and turn around to see Austin. My face grew hot and I felt him snuggle into my neck. I giggled; feeling his curly hair tickle me, and he must have felt me shake. He turned me around, resting his hands on my hips.

"Relax. Take a deep breath." He coached. I followed and began to relax. He smiled at me. "May we talk?" Again, those words. Somethings wrong. I nodded and followed him outside the after party, going to his dressing room. We sat on the small loveseat, and he held my hand, softly caressing the backside of my palm.

"Jaylynn, if I came on too strongly and kissed you forcefully in anyway, I apologize," before he continued, I assured him that it was not out of force. I too felt those feelings he had. "Truth be told, I saw you before at the mall. I don't know what it was.. but I felt such an attraction and protection shield over you. I would be lying if I said I didn't want you to be mine. I feel something when I meet eyes with you. Heck, I'm feeling something just sitting here with you. I'd love to get to know you more."

His words were so sincere and had actually moved me. I wanted to accept right away, but how would this work? I'm only seventeen, a senior in high school, and I live two hours away. I explain this to him, and I see his smile turn into a frown. "I still want to be with you." Was all he said as he leaned into me and kissed me.

"There goes the lovely couple." Zach yelled as Austin and I returned back to the party. From the corner of my eye, I see Victoria and Alex sitting very close to each other, flirting and their faces so close. I blush and hid my face into Austin's chest.

Austin formally introduced me to his entire crew, and even to his mother. It was a huge honor to meet them all. Everyone's so sweet, inviting, and so caring. It was enjoyable and I'm happy. I still don't know about me and Austin currently, but it's only best that I get to know him first before anything further happens.

Getting pretty much everyone's phone number, we all take selfies and group photos. Polaroids especially. I had a huge knack for photography. I made sure to take photos from different angles, snapping everyone's smiles and goofy faces.

We each played a variety of games. From Heads Up to Truth or Dare, and Never Have I Ever. It was amazing what everything was like behind the scenes and after concerts. We all gave a toast to Austin and his crew for making the end of his tour the best that it was. He announced to take a good, well needed break. He'd be sure to come out with new material in the following year.

As the party came to an end, Victoria offered that we help clean up the mess made. From cups, to empty plates, to party streamers, and some of the empty beer bottles. Bidding everyone a goodbye, I began to grab my belongings. Austin came up to me and offered to give me a ride to my hotel room. I didn't want to leave Victoria out, but she pushed for me to go.
