Atticus POV

Tears tumbled down my cheeks as he pulled the covers over me, my body ached as soft sobs shook my body.

"You're so pathetic to think he would actually want you, you're just a waist of space. You can die and nobody will care." The voice growled.

"L-leave alone!" I cried.

"You deserve every ounce of pain you receive, you killed your parents and the next in line Alpha." The voice hissed.

Atticus know! I cried in my head

I was so tried of all of this, of all the pain and rejection. I wished I'd never woke up, that I would have died when I fell asleep.

I'm a mistake and that's all I'll ever be.

"Look at you, you're disgusting. Your all bone and covered in scars nobody wants a fuck up like you." The voice snapped.

I heard the door squeak open as I dug my fingernails into my palm, digging deeper until I felt blood against my finger tips.

"Sit up." Sylis's husky voice rang.

I sat up, whimpering in pain as the headboard dug into my spine. He sat a tray on my lap, a bowl of a dark golden liquid sat atop it, steam rising up in the air.

"Eat up." He said starting to walk away once again.

"You don't deserve to eat." The voice said in disapproval.

I frowned and stared at the golden liquid, it reminding me of Sylis's eyes. My stomach roared as the smell drifted to my nose making me whimper.

"Use the spoon." Sylis commanded, making me jump in surprise.

The liquid rocked in its bowl from the suddenes of my jump. Sylis took something from my tray he dunked the metal thing into the bowl and brought it to my lips.

The liquid spilled into my mouth as Sylis pulled the metal from in between my lips. I moaned at the flavor as it hit tongue, swallowing the liquid,it sent warmth to every part of my body.

The bowl wasn't even half way gone before I was full. Sylis simply took the tray and sat it on the dresser near by as a yawn slipped past my lips.

"You're tired, get some sleep." Sylis said as he sat down in a chair next.

As if it was a command I laid down on the pillows, sleep consuming me as I wrapped the blankets closer, inhaling his scent

Sylis POV

I looked at the small boy in my bed. His hair tousled as his head rested on my pillow while snuggling into my blankets.

With a light knock on the door, Alpha Eric entered the room and looked towards Atticus.

"How is he?" Alpha Eric asked quietly.

"Weak." I replied.

He sighed angrily, clenching his fists as he looked at Atticus.

"Have you gotten the potion?" I asked.

"Yes, Sylis, I've got it. There's no need to worry about it." He snapped.

"Tell me alpha, why do you get to decide if I should accept him or not?"I asked turning my gaze towards him.

"Sylis, he needs this, you need this." He urged.

"Why do we need this?" I asked.

"He needs something good in his life, you look into his eyes and you don't see anything, no hope, life, or will power to keep going. You need this because you need to realize that you can be who you are and make someone happy." He urged.
