Chapter Seventeen

Atticus POV

Sylis helped me into his truck after seeing I couldn't lift myself into it. He got in on the drivers side and I quickly scooted to the middle seat. He chuckled and buckled me in before doing himself.

"Are you ready for our date?" He asked as he started the truck.

I nodded my head eagerly making him smile. He pulled out of the drive way and drove into the darkness as snow fell from the sky. Sylis placed his hand on my knee, his thumb skimming across the black material of my jeans.

"Wh-where going?" I asked softly.

"Its a surprise." He smiled.

We sat in comfortable silence until we pulled into a parking lot.

" I want to show you something." He said unbuckling me and pulling me into his lap.

I straddled his lap, my back slightly pressed against the steering wheel. He moved his jacket and shirt to show the nape of his neck.

I gasped as I looked at the design on his nape, it looked just like my mark expcept my name was under it.The brown tribal wolf looked beautiful against his skin, my name written in cursive underneath it.

"H-how?" I asked my eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Its a tattoo, I wanted everyone to know I was yours. Its embedded with magic, like when I kiss you here." He said kissing my mark making me shutter."it will feel the same as when you do it to me." He smiled.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. He chuckled and hugged me back, his hand rubbing my back in circles.

"I love you Atticus. I felt terrible that I caused you to be human, to limit you on the things you can and cnat do. When you could mark me I felt terrible. I will give you anything and everything you want, you deserve it." He said softly.

"Love Sylis." I said with tears of happiness in my eyes.

I pulled back and looked at him. He smiled and whipped a stray tear that slipped down my cheek.

"Atticus lo-love Sylis a lot." I said wipping my eyes.

He chuckled and captured my lips with his. Our lips moved slowly together as his hands placed themselves on my hips, his thumbs slipping under my shirt and rubbing small circles on my skin.

I pulled back from the kiss and snuggled into his chest.

"I want you too look out the windshield." He said softly.

I turned around and saw lights scattering across the land, glowing bright in the night. I gasped and turned completely around in his lap to see more.

"That's the city, I might take you there one day." He said softly." Would you like that?"

I nodded my head yes quickly making him chuckle.

"Here lets eat." He said placing me in the passengers seat and grabbing a bag from the back seat.

I watched as he pulled containers of food out and spread them across the seat. He reached over and turned on the radio, music playing in the background as we ate.

"What did wolf look like?" I asked softly.

"Your wolf was a sleek black color, it was beautiful." Sylis smiled softly.

"Are full mated yet?" I asked taking a bite of my food.

"No, not yet. We can talk more about that subject after our date." He said a tinge of a blush rising on his cheeks.

I nodded and continued eating. We made small talk through out dinner trying not to bring up the past because of it being a sore subject for the both of us. Once we were done he packed the food up and placed it in the back seat. He pulled me into his lap as music drifted to our ears.

"Do you want to dance." He asked softly in my ears.

"Atticus not know how." I said shyly.

"I'll teach you." He suggested.

I nodded and he opened the door letting me out and stand on snow covered ground. He turned the radio up and got out of the truck taking my hand in his.

He tugged me away from the truck and turned me towards him. He placed my free hand on his shoulder while his placed itself on my waist. He raised our linked hands and slowly thought me how to dance.

He stepped forward making me step back, doing the same movements we slowly went in a circle.

His golden eyes glowed as he looked down at me, they burned with love and happiness.

He spun me around and brought me back into his chest, slowly he dipped me backwards. He was the only thing holding me up so I wouldn't fall.

He slowly leaned in and captured my lips as the snow fluttered around us, the moon lighting up our bodies.

Slolwy he stood me on my feet, keeping our lips intact.

"I love you Atticus." He said softly.

"Love you too." I whispered back.
