Chapter Thirteen

Atticus POV

"Are you alright?" Sylis asked as he stood next to me.

"Is f-fine." I breathed out, relishing in his touch as he rubbed my back.

He left a lingering kiss on my forehead making heat rush to my cheeks.

"Att-atticus be OK right?" I stuttered looking up at him.

"You're going to be fine, its just going to take time to build up your strength again." He said taking both my hands in his." I should've put gloves on you." He scolded himself, blowing on my hands.

"Atticus, Sylis." Alpha Lennon greeted.

Sylis dropped my hands with a scowl on his face. I looked up at Alpha Lennon and gasped, seeing a purple bruise decorate his cheek. The two just stared at each other the air becoming thick with tension.

"I would like to speak to Atticus, alone." Alpha Lennon smiled.

"Not at this moment." Sylis growled.

"Why is that?" Alpha Lennon asked, crossing his arms.

"Were discussing something at the moment." Sylis said with a sickly sweet smile.

"I see." He paused and turned his gaze to me." I'll see you later Atticus." He smiled and bent down brushing his lips across my cheek.

I prepared for the burning sensation but in never came, leaving me shocked as Alpha Lennon walked away. A low growl erupted from behind me, turning I saw Sylis shaking with anger.

I froze.

My feet locked in place, my breathing picked up while my heart hammered against my rib cage, the coldness in my body was replaced with fear as he got closer to me.

"You are mine Atticus."he growled as he towered over me.

"Sy-sylis?" I whimpered as I looked up at him.

His golden eyes seemed to glow as he placed a hand on my cheek, his thumb swiping across my skin. Slowly his eyes turned back to normal, his angered face replaced with sorrow.

"I can't do anything right can I?" He sighed dropping his hand to his side.

He turned his gaze away from me and stepped back making me frown.

I don't like sad Sylis.

I cautiously stepped up to him and grabbed his hand and placed it back on my cheek, warmth rising over my cheek making me lean into his hand.

"What are you doing to me?" He sighed and me and down connecting our lips.

They moved slowly together as he pulled me closer. His warmth radiated off of him, consuming me as he pulled me closer. He nipped my bottom lip making me gasp, his tongue darting inside my mouth making me moan.

"So this is where you disappear too? Making out with someone other than you're mate?" Alpha Eric's voice rang behind me making me jump and pull away from the kiss.

I gripped Sylis' shirt out of instinct and pulled myself closer to him.

"Al-"

"I don't want to hear it Sylis. You're going to hurt Atti-" Alpha Eric started

"Alpha Eric, Atticus is here." Sylis chuckled and rubbed my back.

I turned slightly, just enough to see Alpha Eric's shocked face.

"Well I'll leave you two to continue." He chuckled with a smirk before turning on his heel and leaving.

Heat rushed to my cheeks as I hid my face in Sylis chest. His chuckle rumbled around me as his chest vibrated. I peeked up at him to see him staring down at me with a smile on his face. I nervously bit on my lips as I looked up at him, another wave of heat rising to my cheeks.

He raised and eyebrow at me as he looked down at me with a smirk. I stood to my toes and brushed our lips together. He chuckled and bent down a bit, locking our lips together.

Eventually he pulled back with a smile on his face.

"Let's get you inside." He said, his warm mint breath fanning my face.

I nodded and wrapped my arms around him in a hug.

"Pl-please not let this be trick." I whimpered.

If this was all a trick I don't know what I would do. So badly I want this, us, him.

I squealed as he picked me bridal style, he chuckled at me as I clutched his shirt and looked up at him in confusion.

"A-atticus ca-an walk." I stuttered, worried I might weigh too much, feeling useless and selfish.

"I want to do this, besides you're light as feather." He chuckled, tossing me lightly in his arms making me squeal.

He chuckled and kissed my forehead making me blush as I saw others gape at us.

"Wh-why they stare?" I asked hiding into his chest a bit.

"I was never very social, or had a reputation of dating. So seeing me holds and kiss you shocks them. Let alone me being gay." He said as he walked to the house.

"Gay?" I asked softly.

"A few years ago gay men haply but in todays world in means you like the same gender." He explained.

"It n-not bad ri-right?" I asked playing with my fingers.

"No its not bad." He smiled and kissed my cheek.

Once we entered our room he sat me on my feet and disappeared into the closet. A knock in the doorframe erupted from behind me making me jump slightly. I turned to see ,Alpha Lennon with his ands stuffed in his pockets and a smirk on his face,leaning on the doorframe.

"Hello Atticus." he smiled.

I gave a small wave making his smile widen.

"I wanted to ask if you would like to go on a date with me?" He said with a hopeful look on his face.
