Sylis POV
I held hands with my handsome mate. He look handsomer in his black tux and his eyes sparkling. The priest talked as we stared into each others eyes.
"I do." I spoke softly but loud enough for the pack to hear.
"I do." Atticus replied with a blush, his bright green eyes searching mine.
Now it was time for the vows, the crowed silenced. Everyones breathing stopped as they waited for our speeches.
"Atticus. I regret rejecting you and for hurting you when I did. I'm sorry I just watched you lay there and suffer. I'm happy that the moongoddess allowed me a second chance with you. A second chance to see how wonderful you are. I'm so glad you kept pushing for me to love you and now you've got me hooked around your little finger. Like I've said once before you mean everything to me, you're my world. I will spend the rest of my life making up for the pain I put you through and I won't stop until I stop breathing. I love you with every fiber in my body. " I finished and slipped on his silver ring.
I looked back up into his eyes to find them watery with tears building to the brim of his eyes.
"Atticus forgive Sylis along time ago and Atticus loves Sylis very much." He finished quickly.
Even though his speech was sort it still ment a lot to me.
"You may kiss the groom." The priest spoke with a smile.
A smile spread across my face and I leaned down and captured his lips with mine. The crowd cheered as I pulled him closer to me. I pulled back and looked down at his smiling but dazed face.
My eyebrows immediately knitted together as his smile smile fell. He reached up to his neck and slipped his hand underneath his tux. He pulled his hand back and looked at his fingers in confusion before up at me.
"Atticus what's wrong?" I asked softly.
"Sy-sylis." He whimpered as his eyes fluttered closed and he collapsed.
"Atticus?!" I panicked and caught him, slolwy I lowered us to the ground.
I was on my knees and held his head in my arms.
"Atticus?! Baby open your eyes!" I ushered.
His tux became bloody as I held him in my arms. I screamed his name over and over hoping he would open his eyes.
"Get the pack doctor!" I yelled snapping my gaze up to the Alpha as he stood next to us.
I honed in on his heart and heard a faint beat getting slower and slower until its stopped.
"Atticus?! No!" I cried and shook him in my arms.
Rain started pouring down, the sky roared with the thunder and lighting raced across the sky.
"He's gone Sylis." The angelic voice spoke.
"No!" I yelled and laid him flat on his back and pressed my lips to his.
I started to do CPR on his limp body hoping to restart his heart.
"You did this Sylis. I can't keep giving everyone who rejects their mates chances. They need to learn that the person I pick to be their soulmate is ment for them. No matter what sex, race, or breed. I'm not bringing him back Sylis. You lost your chance. As soon as you realized you could protect him and you made the ultimate statement to prove your love. Goodbye Sylis I truly hope you can live a happy life and find someone to take the pain away." The moongoddess spoke soft but sternly.
Tears tumbled down my cheeks as I pulled his lifeless body into my chest.
"Please! Give him back!" I cried into his chest.
My clothes became soaked as the rain pelted down onto my back. My sobs mixed with the roars of thunders and cracks of lightening. The tiki torches sizzled out as the rain his them. I could see feet surrounding me as I cried into his chest.
"She took him from me! She took my mate!" I cried.
I felt a hand touch my back and I jerked away from it.
"Don't touch me!" I growled.
I looked down Atticus' face and a new wave of tears took over. I presses my lips to his lifeless ones and whimpered.
He's gone.
My baby's gone.
