Still Daesung's POV (Alex isn't really conscious ya know xD)
At the bank of the river Alex's body lay cold wet and bloody. Her wrists held dangerously deep cuts and her head had a big gash that was bleeding quickly.
My hands shook violently as I fumbled with my phone to call an ambulance. Tears pricked my eyes as I talked to the 911 operators. Once they hung up, I ran to her side and cradled her head on my arms.
"C'mon... Stay with me Alex... Lexy baby..." I pushed my forehead into her neck softly as to not hurt her.
We stayed like this for a few minutes and my tears soaked her shirt. I couldn't bear to see her wear suck a broken expression.
An ambulance wailed in the background and I looked up from Alex's neck to see the paramedics here to take my Alex to the hospital. "Please don't let her die." I cried as they pulled her barely breathing body onto a gurney.
The male peramedic nodded and we all stepped onto the ambulance. I couldn't stop the tears from flowing down my face and I'd given up wiping them off.
While the paramedics did their thing, I held Alex's hand. Though that was more for my sake than hers.
Why would she do this? Well I mean I know why, but why couldn't I stop it? Was I not good enough for her?
Tears continued to flow down my face only this time heavier and I gripped Alex's hand harder. She let out a grunt of pain and I moved closer. "Alex?? Are you ok?" I questioned panicky.
The paramedics pushed me back and tried to this time calmly speak to my Alex. Her eyes looked over to me before filling with tears. "I-I'm sorry..." She mumbled before closing her eyes again.
Her heart rate monitor starting beating faster and faster and one of the paramedics let out a panicky breath. "We're losing her. If we don't do something, she'll be pronounced dead on arrival." The male said.
My eyes widened. "N-no." I cried scared. It felt like my heart was being ripped out if my chest and I fell to my knees. "Th-this can't be happening..." I told myself.
"Sir. Why don't you call those close to her while we try to keep her alive. Can you do that?" The female paramedic asked and I nodded.
I took my phone out and dialed Samantha's number, but I couldn't stop sobbing. "Hello?" She answered calmly. "Is Alex with you? I heard her leave but she didn't say where she was going so I assumed she was with you."
A pause
"Daesung? Is everything ok?" She asked fear creeping up her voice.
"She's d-dying... My Alex is dying..." The words felt wrong as I forced them out of my throat. I still couldn't believe it.
"What do you mean she's dying? What the hell happened???" She nearly shouted.
"I-I came back late from a concert, I was supposed to take her out to the lake where we went after our first date but I was too late. I saw shoes on the bridge so I went down the river and found her drowning and bleeding out... Were on an ambulance. She might die Samantha!" I practically screamed as I sobbed the story to Alex's roommate.
We arrived at the hospital seconds later. "Come soon.. Were at ___ hospital five or so minutes from our apartment." I hung up and followed them into the hospital until they stopped me telling me they'd call for me when she was stable.
It broke me to leave her, but I left knowing it wouldn't help to fight the doctors. So I let them take my Alex to try to save her broken life.
