Chapter 25
Normal P.O.V.
Sam leaned back against the wall, hearing everything that was going on. From when the guy and Shadow crossed paths, to when Amy had to come and split them.
He waited for a few minutes, He chuckled and made his way to her room.
He opened the door widely
"Won't you tell me who that was... mother?"
"I knew it wouldn't be long before you showed up, brat" She said, facing away from him
He went inside and closed the door
"He made quite a scene out there" he paused for a second "What's-"
"Mind your own business"
Sam laughed
"You know very well you don't tell me, one way or another i'll find out"
She snickered
"Very well..." She turned around throwing the picture on the floor next to him "If you're so eager to find out, here. See what your brother's been up to"
He picked up the photo
"tch..." he clenched his fist crumbling the photo
"Don't get so flustered dear" She giggled "You know this affair they have going on... won't last much longer" She looked down to the floor
There was silence for a long time
"He'll be getting married soon,being tied to another woman and keeping a country together is difficult. She'll be all yours... that is, if-"
"If?"
"Something....Happens." She looks up at him laughing
He clenched his teeth
"y...you wouldn't!-"
The door opened slightly, a maid peeked in
"A-Ah! Sorry if i interrupted anything! I-"
"You didn't interrupt anything dear, my son was just leaving after all"
He glared at her, turned around stuffing the photo in his pocket and exiting the room

Sonic laid back on his bed, he had called Amy a few minutes ago but she still hadn't come
The door opened
"A...my?" He sat up

"Not what you expected huh?" He smirked
"What are you..."
"Im the one who should be asking questions here" He took the photo out "What's this?"
The picture from new years
"Eh?! How'd you get that?!" HE got up trying to take the photo but Sam quickly hid it back into his pocket
"I asked you a question Sonic..."
"...It doesn't concern you"
He laughed
"Alright don't tell me..."
Amy walked up to Sonic's room, noticing the door was sort of open, she looked through the crack on the door
"They're arguing again aren't they"
She sighed, putting her hand on the nob.
"But you know this affair you have with her won't last longer..." Sam continued
"EH?!"
Her eyes widened, pulling her hand back and hiding behind the wall
"What are they talking about?!"
"You'll be a married man soon, King of this kingdom... You can't have a relationship with Amy"
"Shut up" Sonic said, his voice low
She put her hand on her chest, clenching her fist
"I thought you'd be smarted than to start anything with her... you're giving her false hope"
"Shut. Up." He said louder
"No..."
"And even if you weren't getting married.... Do you still think you could stay with her"
"Shut up!"
"He's right..."
"Face it Sonic...Whatever way you put, it's gonna end up bad...It's gonna end up hurting her"
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT.UP." Sonic yelled
"Like Sam said... Whatever way you put it... We just aren't meant to be..." She started cried softly
Sonic began panting
"I...I wouldn't... hurt her"
He eyes widened and her trip got tighter, more tears coming down
"Sonic..."
"Alright..." Sam said turning around "But don't say I didn't warn you" He got closer to the door
Amy wiped some of her tears and hid
Sam was completely out of sight, Sonic came out of his room, noticing Amy going down the stairs
"Amy?"
She flinched and stopped for a second, then tried running down the stairs, but Sonic quickly ran to her and grabbed her by her wrist
"Amy, are you... ok?"
She looked down, her hair covered her eyes
"Mhm..." She nodded
He brought her closer and hugged her from behind
"Are you ok?" He asked again
"Yeah..." She turned around, hugging him
"Quit lying..."
Her grip tightened on his shirt
"Y-Yeah" She said on the verge of breaking down
"Are you ok"
"N...No!" She said in a soft cry
He hugged her tighter
"Then... tell me what to do, to help you feel better"
"Let's...Stay... like this"
She said between tears
"Forever...!"

"Yeah."
