Niel: Bro!! Alam naman naming na ayaw mo na maiistorbo sa pagtulog. You told us about it. Did you already forgotten?

Kyle: yeah. Kaya hindi ka na naming ginising.

Luke: Pero, we tried our best. Kaso dude, no effect. Tulog mantika ka talaga.

Jaime: Tsaka sabi rin kasi ni Dean na wag ka na naming gisingin.

Pero, nawala ang pagpipigil ko ng tawa sa huling sinabi nila Jaime. I was shocked for a second’s pero hindi ko pinahalata yun. I’ve got curious. Why would my mom do that? I went to her office quickly, xempre kunti lang kasi yun vacant namin.

OFFICE

Dean: Good morning Mr. Wades what can I do for you.

I look at her seriously. But as always she gives me her best smile in return. I seat on the visitor chair.

Rence:  My Buddies told me. They told me about wh—

Hindi na nya ako pinatapos. Mukhang alam na nya kung bakit ako pumunta. She really knows me. sabagay I forgot she’s my mom.

Dean: based on my theory you won’t believe them do you?

Rence: so it’s true?

I ask her again. I just can’t believe my Mom will do that? Parang may Mali. I need to know her reason.

Dean: Alam kong nagtataka ka. But I’m sorry baby; I don’t want to spill it out. Your Grandpa is watching me.

Rence: So, may kinalaman dito si Tanda? Is this one of his stupid “mission”?

Katulad ng dati hindi nya ako pinatapos magsalita. There’s someone knock on the door. Bastos!!

Rence: Wala ba yun secretary nyo?

Dean: She’s there. I think you should go baby. Let’s talk later; I need to talk to someone.

Rence: o-okay?

I opened the door.

*lub dub*

Ayan na naman yun puso ko.  It beats faster and faster just like yesterday. I look at her face. She’s so shocked but a little bit scared. Yun na lang ba lagi kong makikita sa face nya?

I walk faster, pero bago ako makalayo lumingon ulit ako doon sa office. I heard my mom calls her..

Dean: Please, have a seat. Ms. West.

My mom looks at me before the door automatically closed. Teka nga, why would my mom will smiled at me like that? Her smiles, iba ito kesa sa normal nyang ngiti. She looks more very happy?

Fast forward…

Pinipilit ko na hindi makatulog dahil baka iwanan na naman nila ako. Pero sadyang hindi ko talaga kaya. I started to fall asleep.

Just like yesterday, I Dream of her again. I got really curious of her. Bakit sya laging napapanaginipan ko. At bakit blurred ang mukha nya? What is her role on my life? Is she real? Madami akong gustong itanung sa kanya. Pero gaya nga ng sabi ko kahapon may gumising na naman sa akin. ARRRGH!!!!!!

Somebody poke me again.

But, before I look who-ever-poke-me. I compose myself first.

I look up.
