Chapter 24) Doing my Job

*Kara'sPOV*

Flying was beyond comparison to walking. When flying, you see everything. I flapped my wings trying to remain in the air. The beauty of the night surrounding me was overwhelmingly peaceful. Out of all the stuff I've been going through the past few days, I was happy to finally have some peace and quiet. I beat my wings silently and hoped I knew where I was going. I let my heart lead me and in no time I was at the pack's home.

I slowly landed to keep my wings from beating on the ground. Then I waited for them to retract, when they did my stomach slowly gained the baby bump back. Then I walked up to the door before knocking on the door, The door swung open showing a tanned man who shouted which looked like to upstairs

"Johan, The Messenger is here!"

As soon as he said that a man who looked like in his early 30's with a slight stubble came running down the stairs grinning at me.

"Why lovely to finally Charlie's beautiful daughter!" He laughed kissing both cheeks. "Oh and pregnant too!" He laughed.

"Yes anyway I have important news, If you dont mind can we go somewhere more quiet?" I asked, The house was so busy not only with hormonal topless guys running around but dogs, cats and children playing too.

"Yes certainly come into my office, Do you want a cup off tea? Coffee? Hot Chocolate?" He asked concerned

"Umm.. Coffee please?" I replied following him into his massive office, Wow this could sure like a massive swimming pool and there would still be space, I sat down onto the long brown leather couch, Hmm Comfy.

"Black Coffee or Milk?" He questioned.

"Milk Please" I whispered.

It was much calmer than back at home, He was a much calmer person for starters and when you shut his office door it feels like your closed off to the world, All you can hear is each others voices and the a soft melody coming from the stereo system.

"Here, By the way my names Johan if you didnt know and the young man answering the door to you was my son Henry."

"Really? Your married?" I questioned.

"Widowed." He muttered lucking down at his drink

"Oh Im sorry, I didnt know!" I said.

"No, No its fine so any way your here for a reason your job so what is it?" He asked.

"Oh yes, Ryan told me to tell you and your pack to not go in the wood because Professional hunters are coming into town." I said seriously.

"When?"

"Im not sure sorry, He didnt give me much information"

"I'll check the DemonClaw website." He sighed

"Wait DemonClaw has a website?" I questioned

"Yes, Oh here it is its in 4 days, Well stay out of the woods, But tell Ryan to expect a vist from my pack soon we need to all have a meeting about this Rogue wolf which has killed people in the woods yesterday night, Ok?" He said.

"Yes, Thats fine, When is this vist going to be?" I asked

"Um im not too sure just tell him to expect a surprise drop in, Alright?"

"Ok, I best go. Oh by the way do you have a Messenger?" I asked intrigued

"Yes, Yes we do would you like to meet him?"

"I would love too!" I asked excited

"Ok one second then.." He said whilst leaving the room.

I chugged down my coffee burning my tongue in the process, I put my hand to my stomach and began stroking it thinking about my little bundle of joy in there.

"Im sorry he's not here, I can bring him when we vist though?"

"Yes thats fine I better be off thought, Great seeing you, You look so much like your Father!" He said walking me to the front door.

"Please Come again Kara!" He said laughing.

"I will im just doing my job here arnt I?" I said smiling in return.

Ok its time to go home now, As soon as i said that my wings were released and the flight home was just as amazing as the first
