Chapter 30) Mood Swings

Wow chapter 30 and nearly a hundred fans, Did not think I'd get this far lol anyways sorry for delay been on Holiday :)

Jake sat in the driver's seat and I sat in the passenger's seat talking idly about how cute Charlie was. Jake nodded when the time was right and hummed when I paused, as to say he was paying attention but he obviously wasn't. And I almost let it slide, but I had watched plenty of television and read plenty of magazines to know that if I didn't find out the problem now then down the road it would be way worse.

"Jake, babe, something wrong?" I said, watching his face for any kind of lie.

"Huh? No, why do you ask?" I shook my head before rolling my eyes.

He was so easy to read. The way he nodded his head casually when if he was actually paying attention he would be jumping in with comments or actually replying.

"Oh, no reason. Except, you arnt paying attention!" My mood had been swinging between happy and angry and sad and so on. A new mood visited me almost every hour.

"I am!" he snapped at me, making me blink hard a couple of times.

"Well obviously there is by the way your talking to your pregnant girlfriend!" I snapped back.

"Look were on our way to see Baby Charlie and on our way through the hospital were gonna see loads of other men holding their babies saying stuff like 'doesn't he look like me' or 'Got his fathers nose' and I'm never gonna be able to say that." He said breathing heavily as if he's about to cry.

"Baby, if that's what you were so upset about why didn't you tell me?" I said as I putting my hand on his thigh. "Jake don't even worry at the end of the day the baby is still going to be yours and even if you're not the biological father the child inside me will still look up to you.." I trailed off.

"I suppose, Eugh I'm such a stupid weak man!" he said angrily wiping one stray tear from upon his cheek.

"No you're not! Jake any man would act how you are and to be quite honest you're even stronger than those men because I'm pregnant with someone else's baby and with any other man they would not be able to stand by and watch another mans baby growing inside their girlfriend but you are so much stronger because you want to keep this baby, and your going to be the best freaking dad ever!" I sobbed into the sleeve of my Denim jacket.

"I'm sorry to upset you, come on were here now and we don't want Jamie and Hope seeing us like this!" Jake said sympathetically wiping away one of my tears.

We got out off the car not before checking whether my mascara had run, he grabbed my hand and we walked upstairs slowly because my back was hurting.

A few minutes later we got outside of the door, I lightly knocked and Hope said to come in, as i opened the door I saw that Hope was feeding Charlie well this is awkward... She stopped feeding Charlie and I saw that he was asleep, what a cutie.

"Hey!" Me and Jake whispered at the same time

"Hey Kara, Jake!" Hope replied.

"How's you and the baby?" Jake asked.

"Were good thanks, do you want to hold him?" Hope asked.

Jake thought about the question and then replied with a simple 'sure'.

Hope passed Charlie to Jake, and Jake layed him in his arms and stood there smiling at Charlie, whilst holding Charlies small hand, One of Jakes fingers were the same size as Charlies whole hand.

That's basically how the whole of the rest of the vist went, Jake didn't let anyone hold Charlie and we had to force him to leave Charlie behind, He said he lovely and that if he loves Charlie alot than he's sure to love our Baby even more!

We got home and I was glad to be out of that car, all Jake talked about was babies and I mean I'm glad his moods changed now but talking about for like 30minutes constantily is a bit too much.

As soon as I got out of the car Jake became very nervous and edgy. Then the smell hit me too...BLOOD!
