When You Meet (Roxas)

You lived in Twilight Town your whole life.  In fact, you knew it so well, that everybody knew you, and you knew everybody.  You could find you way from the station to the sandlot, and from the old mansion in the woods Sunset Terrace.  But you absolutely loved to watch the sunset. 

One day, while you were walking down the streets of the town, you ran into Hayner, Pence, and Olette, three kids who you go to school with.  "Hey (Y/N)!" Pence said to you. "How have you been?"

"Well, I have been the same.  Still good, and satisfied with my day." you said, smiling.  "How about you guys?"

"I've been good." Olette said, holding her hands behind her back.

"Same." Hayner said.

"Same as them." Pence said. 

"You doing anything today?" Hayner asked.

You began to think.  Did you have anything to do?  Well, you did finish your daily walk through the city, and before you left your house, you made sure your room was clean.  "Now that I think about, I have nothing planned.  Why do you ask?" you say.

Olette then smiled and said, "Would you like to hang with us today?  We could use the company."

"Uhmm...sure!" you smiled.  "so where are you guys going?"

"We were going to the Station Tower, and eat some ice cream."  Pence said.

"And here's the deal, whoever is that last one to the sandlot, has to buy the ice cream." Hayner said.  "We've seen you run in gym class, and your pretty fast, so this could be a good opportunity to prove yourself."

You were one of the fastest runners in your class, and racing these three would be a breeze for you.  "Alright, you got yourself a deal." You shook Hayner's hand, which was extended towards you. 

"And the course is marked with green signs, so you don't cheat." Olette informed you.

"Okay, but we already know who isn't going to buy the ice cream then." I teased, knowing that you weren't gonna lose.

As you made your way to the starting position, you were feeling the adrenaline rush through your veins.  You were more than ready to race to the sandlot. "Go!!!" Hayner shouted, and he took off.  So did Pence and Olette.   You paced yourself, at an unusual fast speed for everybody else.  You were neck and neck with Hayner.  "Why are you going so slow, Hayner?" you asked.

"I'm not buying that ice cream!" he said back, and he picked up his pace and ran ahead to you.  "You better hurry before you have to buy that ice cream, (Y/N)!!!" he yelled turning the corner.   You smiled and said to yourself, "Challenge accepted." As you turned the corner, you accidentally ran into something, causing you to fall onto you back side.  "Ow...that hurt." you said.

"Are you okay?" you heard someone say, offering you a hand.  You look at the hand, and it leads to a boy with blonde spiky hair, and deep blue eyes.  "Yeah, I'm fine." You said, taking his hand.  The boy helped you up to your feet, and you brushed yourself off.  "Thanks." you said to him, with a smile. 

"You're welcome." he said.  "I'm new around here.  Can you help me around?"

"Sure." you said. "My name's (Y/N).  What's yours?"

"I'm Roxas.  It's nice to meet you, (Y/N)."  he said, smiling.

"Pleasure's all mine." you said.

"Hey!!!  (Y/N)!" you heard someone call out for you.  Suddenly, you remembered that you were supposed to be the first at the sandlot.  You turned your head and see Olette.  "You lost.  What happened?" she asked, running up to you and Roxas.

"Well, I ran into something and I fell." you said to Olette, but turned back to Roxas.  "But, I'm glad I did.  Olette, this is Roxas.  Roxas, this is Olette."

"It's nice to meet you." Roxas said. 

"Right back at you, Roxas." Olette smiled and shook his hand.  "Anyway, Hayner wanted me to tell you that you have to eat your own words, and you have to buy the ice cream."

"Well, go figure." you said.  "Hey Roxas, how about you come with us?  I already have to buy some ice cream, so I'll get you some as well."

"That sounds good.  I'll come along." He said.

As you three made your way down to the sandlot to meet up with everybody else, you kept talking to Roxas and made sure that he would be comfortable with his new life in Twilight Town.  Not to mention that you have to make a quick stop to the ice cream store before you go to the Station Tower.  After all, you did make a deal;  loser buys the ice cream.
