When He Sees You "Acting Strange" (Riku)

You were scared. Yes, for once, you were scared and it was driving you crazy. Everywhere you looked, every thought was turned, but you couldn't get the fact that you were in love with Riku.

You keep having these fantasies and weird daydreams about Riku and you. You even wrote them down in your diary/journal.

As you finished up this next entry, there was a sudden knock on your window. You jumped in fear and fell backwards out of your seat. Suddenly startled, you quickly went to the window and opened it. On the other side (and on the ground, since you were on the second floor) was Sora and Kairi. You forgot that you had made plans with for the day. "Hey (Y/N), are you okay?" Kairi asked.

"I'm just fine." you said. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, after we threw the tennis ball up at the window, we heard a THUD and thought there was an accident." Sora said.

"Yeah, after you through the ball, I was scared by it and fell out of my chair. But I am just fine now." you rubbed the back of your neck.

"Well, are you ready to go? We did make plans to hang out at the island today!" Kairi said.

"Yeah, I just need to do one more thing. Why don't you guys come up?" you asked.

"Because I'm case you had forgotten, we have to wait for Riku too." Sora said.

"Yeah, speaking of Riku, (Y/N), you seem to be edgy around him. Did something happen between you two?" Kairi asked.

You were put in an awkward position. "Uhm...no...nothing happened. I'll be down in a few minutes." you said, closing your window and curtains.

You sighed and took a few deep breaths.  It's okay.  You said to yourself. You're just going to hang out with your friends at the island, then you can come home without any worries.

As you packed your day bag, you heard a repetitive knock on your bedroom door. Knowing that knock, you quickly shoved the rest of your things into your bag and headed towards the door. On the other side was Riku. Your back stiffened and you froze. "Oh, uh...Hey, Riku..."you said with a nervous laugh.

"Hey, (Y/N)." he said. "Kairi and Sora told me to come and tell you to hurry up. I don't know why they couldn't have done it themselves."

"Yeah--i don't know either." you said, hopefully convincing Riku that you didn't know. But you had a strange feeling that they did that because they might be catching onto you having feelings for your silvery haired best friend.

"Anyway, I just have to get my shoes on. Wanna sit down real quick?" You asked.

"Sure. I'll sit down. Knowing you, you're gonna need my help with picking out which shoes to go with that outfit." he said, laughing.

"Hey, that's not true!" you exclaimed.

"(Y/N), do we need a trip down Memory Lane? You were almost late to eight of our meetings times because you couldn't pick out which shoes to match." he said.

"That doesn't matter!!" you yelled at him.

He simply patted your head and sat down at your desk. "Let's get this over with." he said. 

"It isn't gonna take long this time because I know which shoes in gonna wear." you said, as you disappeared into your closet. And then tragedy strikes. You had two pairs and couldn't decide. "Riku..." you whined.

"Told ya." he said. You glared at him and you just held up the two pairs. After he chose the pair for you to wear, you slid them on. "Okay, I'm ready!"you exclaim happily.

"See how much faster that was?" he said standing up.

"Shut up."

"I'm just messing with you (Y/N)." he smiled patting your head.

"Well stop messing with me!" you turned your head and blushed. His hand felt soft against your head.

"Okay, but I have a question for you." he said. You looked back at him, stiffening your spine.

"yeah?" you asked nervously.

However, before he got to ask you his question, he was interrupted by someone knocking on your door. You both looked and saw Sora and Kairi in the back trying not to fangirl. "I hate to break your romantic moment, but we should get going." Sora said.

"Huh?!  No--no we weren't...having a romantic moment!!" you said, with your cheeks heating up.

"(Y/N) are you okay?" Riku asked.

"Huh?! Yeah I'm fine! It's just that..."

"(Y/N)'s in lo--"Kairi started before you silenced her with your hand and forbade her from finishing the next word.

"Don't listen to her, she doesn't know what she's  talking about." You tried to make it sound like everything was cool.

"You're acting really strange right now." Sora said. "Are you hiding something from us?"

"Nope, nothing!" you immediately said.

"Really? Because your diary says otherwise." Riku told you.

You're face went white as a sheet. Then reality hit you like a missile. "YOU READ MY DIARY?!" you yelled at him, embarrassed.

"Yeah, you left it open and you were taking forever with picking your shoes." he said.

You felt defeated. You quickly let go of Kairi, and turned around and blushed heavily. "Great, now you found out that I have a diary I keep all of my secrets in." you said. "Can this day get any worse?"

"I don't know. I think I can make it better." he said, turning you around and pushing you against a wall. Your blush was so bad you were as red as Snow White's poisoned apple. Then Riku looked into your eyes and finally spoke. "Before I was interrupted by a spiky headed loser..."

"Hey!" Sora yelled at him.

Riku just ignored him and asked, "Will you go out with me?"

You froze and your eyes widened. He was asking you out...He was asking you out...!!

"I already know you have romantic feelings for me, but I have those same feelings towards you, so why not go out with each other?" he asked.

"...Okay!" you said, smiling like an idiot. You then hugged Riku, and he hugged back. You two stayed like that for a few minutes, while Kairi fangirled.

You finally broke apart. "Hey Riku, (Y/N) had a dream that you were a humanoid dragon and she was a princess who fell in love with you." Sora said.

You looked over at him with a shocked face. He was reading your diary. Then you got mad. "DON'T RRAD MY DIARY YOU PORCUPINE!" you yelled and started to chase after him. Little did you know that once you left the room, Riku picked up your diary and continued to read it.
