Lauren's POV
"Camila?" I asked, shock.
"How did you know where I live?"
"Normani told me." Camila explained.
"Of course she did," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Did my parents let you in?" I asked.
"Yeah. I actually talked to them for like 5 minutes, they're really nice." Camila said, giving me a tooth-less smile.
"Yeah. Yeah, they are." I said, nodding as I sat down on my bed.
"Is something wrong?" Camila asked as she sat down next to me.
"No, not at all. I just... I can't believe you're here. I mean, I know that we've only been talking for a few weeks but, I still can't believe you're here." I said, smiling widely.
"I can't believe it either." Camila replied, smiling brightly.
We stared at each other for what felt like hours. But our staring contest was interrupted by my mom.
"Hey, I was just wondering if you wanted to go out for pizza?" My mom asked.
"Yeah, sure." Camila answered.
"Alright. Oh, Camila, do your parents know that you're staying over here for the night?" My mom asked nicely.
"Oh, yeah." Camila said, nodding.
"Okay. Well, I'll leave you girls alone. Be ready to go in an hour." I nodded.
After she closed the door, Camila looked back at me.
"So, what do you wanna do?" I shrugged.
"I don't know. Watch a movie?" I suggested.
"Depends. What kind of movie is it?"
"What kind do you like?" I asked.
"Romantic." Camila answered.
"Horror it is." I said, standing up.
"What? No! I hate horror movies." Camila said.
"Too bad." I said, sticking my tongue out at her.
"Why can't we watch a romantic movie?" Camila questioned.
"Because if we watch a romantic movie, then you might try to kiss me." I explained.
"Well, can you blame me?"
"Blame you for what?" I asked.
"For wanting to kiss you." Camila said.
I didn't reply.
I walked over to the DVDs and grabbed one and put the disk in.
When I turned back around, Camila was already laying down with the covers on top of her.
I chuckled and laid down beside her.
After I hit play, Camila scooted closer to me and rested her head on my shoulder.
I looked down at her and smiled.
Can she get any cuter?

About halfway through the movie, Camila had her arm around my waist as she basically clung onto me.
"Camz, it's okay. Why are you so scared?" I said.
"I'm not scared." Camila argued.
"Yeah, you are."
"Okay, maybe I am a little bit. But-"
"Girls, are you ready to go?" My mom asked, cutting Camila off.
"Yeah, we're ready." I said.
My mom nodded and closed the door.
I looked down at Camila.
"Camz, let go of me." I said, laughing a little.
"Noo, I wanna stay here and cuddle with you." Camila said.
"I do too, but we have to go." I said.
"Ugh, fine." Camila said, groaning.
"But we're cuddling when we get back." Camila said as she got up and walked out.
"Fine by me." I said, chuckling.
I got out of bed and walked towards the door.
Just as I was about to walk out, Camila came back in.
"Sorry, I forgot something." Camila said.
"What'd you forget? You didn't bring anything." I said, laughing.
"I forgot this,"
Camila placed a hand on my shoulder as she leaned up and kissed my cheek quickly.
"I'm really glad we're friends, Lauren." Camila said sincerely.
" I'm glad too. I guess I'll have to thank Dinah and Normani." I said.
"Girls, let's go!" My mom yelled, making both of us jump.
"C'mon," Camila said, holding her hand out.
I looked at her hand, then back at her.
I smiled and grabbed her hand.

My parents sat up front while me and Camila sat in the back.
Camila was still holding my hand.
I stared down at our hands for a few seconds then I looked at Camila.
Her eyes met mine and we both smiled.
Camila intertwined our hands, then looked back out the window.
I looked down at the floor and blushed.
"We're just friends, Lauren. Calm down. You do not have feelings for Camila." I said in my head.
I say that a lot. And for some reason, every time I tell myself that, I feel like I'm lying to myself.
