I put my books in my locker then closed it shut. I turned to my left, jumping when I noticed someone was right in front of me.
"Jesus, Mani, are you trying to kill me?" I exclaimed, putting my hand over my chest.
"Sorry, Laur," She said, sincerely. "Anyways, did you get a weird message today? On kik?" She questioned.
"Yeah, why?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Okay. I was just making sure that you got it." She replied.
"Why?" I asked once again.
"My friend Dinah, she just wanted to know if her friend actually texted you or not," She explained.
"Why?" I asked again.
"Can you ask a different question, Laur?" Normani asked, frustrated.
"No, I can't. I want answers." I replied.
"Well, then you'll have to get them from Dinah," She answered shrugging as she started walking backwards.
"Where can I find her?" I asked.
"Meet us in the gym after school." Normani replied as she walked to her next class.
I put my back against my locker and sighed. I closed my eyes. Just as the bell rang, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.
I groaned, pulling my phone out.
It was a text.
ManiBear: If you're wondering how Dinah got your username, it was because I gave it to her. Oops.
LernJergi: Why did you do that??
ManiBear: 'cause I felt like it.
LernJergi: Maniii
ManiBear: Sorry, boo. But hey, look on the bright side..

LernJergi: What if we have nothing in common?

I turned my phone off, and put it back in my pocket.
"I hope she's right," I muttered to myself.
