PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Her hair is sleek and black, and reaches well passed her waist. Her eyes are narrow-set and black as well, matching her hair. She's got a pale complexion and is only 5'3. She has a slender build.
PERSONALITY: She's very-family oriented. Coming from a large family, it became the most important thing to her. She believes in the older ways of honor and loyalty. She loves to laugh, and believes in living life to the fullest. The lesson of the cherry blossom, that all life is precious, is something that was taught to her since she could talk, and is something she firmly believes and cherishes.
PAST: Her parents, and most of the people in her community, are Japanese. She spent her life with her large family: mother, father, four brothers and two sisters. Her father taught her what being a Samurai used to mean, and taught her a little martial arts and using the sword. In-between helping with their farm, she trained, especially with her four brothers. When she was seventeen she and her childhood sweetheart, Toshiro eloped and secretly married, and although her parents were quite mad when they found out, they were happy for the young couple. The morning Akari was reaped, she had just told Toshiro that she had learned she was pregnant.
WEAPON OF CHOICE: Katana
STRENGTHS: She's trained with a katana and in martial arts, and has experience fighting with people bigger than her (because of her brothers). Because of her size, she's quick and nimble and can hide easily. She's determined to get out of the arena alive, because of her family, and to return to her husband and have her child safely.
WEAKNESSES: She's never actually killed anyone, so she isn't quite sure how taking a life will affect her. She's kind-hearted which could lead her to try to protect people, especially those younger than her, or anyone who reminds her of her family. Her determination to get out of the arena alive, while it's a strength, it is also a weakness. There's no telling what she will do to stay alive, including becoming someone she doesn't recognize anymore.
TOKEN: A piece of cloth from Toshiro that he kept tied around his katana, that she now keeps around her wrist.
