Were You Surprised To Find Out You Won?
1. I cried for three hours, if that says anything. Yes! I wasn't expecting to win AT ALL. I was expecting third or fourth place, and when I won I almost had a heart attack. It took me off guard, that's for sure.
What Was The Most Challenging Part When Writing?
2. Umm...I'd say working in Amelia's fondness for mentioning her period was pretty hard. :p Really, when I first began, the hardest part was getting her right. Amelia's character was finicky and very tricky to get done.
Was There Ever A Time You Were At Your Lowest?
3. Yes, in every entry. There was a time in each entry where I almost gave up and felt like just hiding and never coming back. I think everyone has moments like that, though.
Did Having Alliances Make Anything Easier?
4. Yes and no. Yes because they helped a lot in the entries and were so fun to include, and no because including other tributes is insanely hard. I can barely do my own. I did, however, love the allies that I had.
What Was Your Favorite Task?
5. Task Six, the dream one! I loved writing that and it made me smile. I wrote it all at once and edited it for three days after. It was the best thing I'd ever had to write. :)
What Was Your Least Favorite Task?
6. A least favorite task...well, the last one. It took me so long to finish and I had a lot of trouble writing it. There were several times I straight up gave up on writing it at all. I would recommend never to hurt your tribute too bad, for then people make them paralyzed and stuck in quicksand. Not what you want to get stuck in, that's for sure!
Did Writing Your Tribute Make You Realize Anything?
7. Amelia made me realize that I have it in me to keep going. Before, I'd never gotten even close to winning something like this, let alone thinking that I could! A lot of people have put me down and told me that I write bad, and to be honest, it sucks being told that. Then, with Amelia, I realized that I just need to love my characters. Even when it's hard, I just needed to give it my all and let the cards land where they land. I would've been content to be the second to die with her character, and that's something I'm proud of. I get so attached and it makes losing really hard, and for once I'm happy with anything. It's nice. :)
How Many Games Have You Been In Prior To this?
8. Hunger Games inspired? Two. One as a judge, one as a tribute (really, two). Writing competitions? Around twenty seven.
Will You Be Participating In More During The Future?
9. Considering I'm in five? Yes. I'm addicted!
Final Words:
10. Thank you for letting me join these Games. :) You guys really inspired me to go further with my writing and I hope to continue on this path of growth. This has been the best experience of my life. Thanks for having me!
