Sam's P.O.V.
I turned off the TV once the movie was over. I think my body finally calmed down after Harry put his arm around me. As creepy as it sounds he smells really good. I hope he didn't mind me leaning on him. Then I realized I was still leaning on him so I sat up but he kept his arm around me.
"What did you think?" I asked.
"I liked it. It was really good." He replied.
"Good, I'm glad you liked it."
"Hey guys! We're back and we brought dinner." Mom hollered from the kitchen. Harry put his arm down. I got up going in the kitchen.
"Whatcha get?" I asked.
"Pizza!"
"Yes!" I said hearing Dad come in with groceries.
"Thanks for your help guys." Dad said sarcastically setting down some of the groceries heading back out for the rest.
"I'll help him." Harry said heading out to help my Dad.
"He's a really good man, Sam. He would be perfect for you."
"Mom, we talked about this..."
Flashback...
"Be careful, Styles...Okay, I will...talk to you later...Bye..." I said hitting the end button putting my phone on the table. I rest my arm on my knee I had pulled up to my chest sitting on the garden chair under the gazebo.
"How's Harry?" Mom asked stepping up on the deck.
"Tired."
"I bet. Where's he at today?"
"South Africa...Cape Town to be exact. It's their last Africa show."
"Very cool. How's he doing since Zayn left?"
"He hasn't mentioned it and I wasn't sure if I should bring it up or not. He told me to tell you he said hello and that he hopes all is well."
"That was nice."
"He's a really nice guy, Mom."
"I know. And he seems to really care about you."
"Why do you say that?"
"He takes time from his busy schedule to call and text you. He got the rest of the band to sing 'Happy Birthday' to you on FaceTime. He likes you, Sam."
"I hope so I mean it would be kind of awkward if he hated me." I chuckled.
"I mean something a bit more...more than just friends."
"Mom, it's not going to happen. We live in two completely different worlds. We're just friends...that's all we'll ever be."
"Why do you say that?"
"Number one reason: I'm 16 years old... if we were to be more and somebody found out how old I am then Harry and the guys would most likely suffer because of me and also because I don't want to ruin our friendship...We're just friends, that's all we'll ever be." I repeated.
End of Flashback...
"Thanks for your help, Harry. My wife and daughter always seem to run away after we get home from grocery shopping."
"I always help you carry the groceries in. Mom's the one that runs off." I replied.
"Alright, alright. Let's eat before the pizza gets cold."
"Yes ma'am." I said grabbing some plates.
"Are the Pirates playing?" Dad asked.
"Yeah, channel 35." Mom said opening the pizza box.
Half hour later...
"Oh c'mon!" My mom nearly yelled as the umpire made a bad call.
"We Pittsburghers take our sports seriously." I said to Harry. I looked outside the sun was starting to go down then I thought about the place I found last year.
"I want to take you somewhere." I whispered to Harry.
"I'll go anywhere you want to go." He whispered.
"Alright, you big flirt let's go." I whispered getting up.
"I want to show Harry something then we'll be back."
"Okay, be careful." Mom replied.
"Be careful." Dad repeated. We left.
10 minutes later...
He turned off the car.
"You wanted to show me a neighborhood?" He asked.
"No. C'mon, Styles." I said getting out. I walked over to the steps heading down them. Harry followed. I walked down the hill to the playground that had an amazing view of the river, bridge, the lit up houses across the river, and the beautiful sunset.
"This is nice." Harry said.
"I know. I like coming here." I said standing next to him. We stood there admiring the sky.
"I'll race you to the swings...again."
"Alright. Ready?" He asked before taking off towards the swings.
"Cheater!" I yelled running after him. He got there sitting down on one of the swings.
"You are such a cheater, Styles." I said sitting on the other swing.
"Why do you call me by my last name?" He asked.
"Because I figure you get tired of hearing your name. Do you not like me calling you 'Styles'?"
"No, I like when you call me that but I do like hearing you say my first name."
"Okay." I replied swinging back and forth.
"I got a new joke for you. What happens to a frog's car when it breaks down?"
"I don't know. What happens to a frog's car when it breaks down?" He asks.
"It gets toad away..." He smirked.
"That was good." He chuckled.
"I thought you'd like that." I said swinging back and forth then Harry got up and began pushing me.
"I'm glad you kept your promise." I said as he pushed me then he held the chains making me stop.
"What was that?" He asked.
"I said I'm glad you kept your promise. Not too many people that are close to me do." I said.
"I always keep a promise especially to those I really care about." I smiled as he let me go after a while I jumped off and we walked over to the table, sitting on the table with our feet on the bench part.
"I care about you a lot too." I said as he turned his head towards me.
"We've known each other for almost five months but it feels like we've known each other much longer." I added.
"I feel the same way." He replied. I laid my head on his shoulder as we looked at the view and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
"I don't know what I would do without you, Styles. You're my best friend." I said and his body stiffened.
Harry's P.O.V.
"I don't know what I would do without you, Styles. You're my best friend." I froze hearing those two words but mostly the second one, friend. I want her to be mine. I know she's 16 and that I could get h*** for being with her but... with her love nobody could bring me down. (See what I did there ;)
