"Hey Dawn!" You grinned, slipping into the bus seat next to your best friend. ((Mwahahaha! You now have a friend! XD I'm so sorry ))
"Hey, (y/n)!" She grinned. Dawn was your best friend. She had eyes that changed with the light around her. Her eyes were currently grey. She was tall and thin, with wispy, blonde hair and large glasses. She was all brains, and no athletic ability at all. In fact, she was quite ditzy. Especially when she had had coffee. ((Okay I'm your best friend lol)) "were you and your dad dancing outside?"
"You saw that?" She couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. You only then realized that it was a bit childish.
"Yup! That was really cool! You're dad is so cool. I wish my dad would dance me to the bus stop." She laughed.
"Hm. Maybe. My dad is pretty cool." You grinned.
"You better believe it! So, did you study for the Social Studies test?"
You two began to chat lightly about nothing and everything on the way to school. When you got to school, you both hopped off the bus and went to your lockers. You and Dawn had lockers with each other, and every class together.
"Does your dad know Jayden asked you out?" Dawn asked.
You looked down. "No, not yet... I'm afraid he'll be mad..."
"What'd you tell Jayden?" Dawn leaned against the locker and you averted her gaze.
"I'd tell him today." You mumbled.
"Well, just use my excuse. My dad says I can't date. Besides, I don't see a reason to date. If you're gonna love someone, love 'em from afar or forever, but not only for a bit."
You shrugged. "Well, I don't have to worry about it until lunch. Maybe I'll use your excuse."
"Great! And besides, don't worry. Your dad isn't one to get mad out of the blue about people in general. Now, if Zachary asked you out on the other hand, I would be all for it." She winked at you.
You had to admit, Zachary was pretty gorgeous. "Hey, Dawn, when is Halloween?"
"It's..." She pulled out an assignment book. "Two weeks from tomorrow. Why? You gonna get your dad to help?"
"Yeah. What're you gonna be?"
"Ima be my main Charrie from meh book, Ombre." ((Actual thing, please go check it out. I hope to publish it.)) "She's as complicated as all, but I can achieve it." She grinned.
"Sounds cool. Maybe I'll be a female Loki."
"That'd be cool."
And the bell rang.
I'm so sorry this chapter is really nothing, it's more of a bridge and I'm such a lazy bum >.<
