You hopped off the bus and ran up the driveway as fast as you possibly could. You couldn't wait to see the amazing (You knew it would be) outfit your father had worked on while you were at school.
Yes, he had time to work on it for hours and hours if he so chose to, because he was always home for some reason. You had never questioned his job or working hours, because there was always enough money to pay for food and the house and clothes and everything else.
But, you never went on field trips with the rest of the school. Tom didn't trust any of the boys (except a few of you friends) and always took you himself, making up for not going by making sure you saw everything and had plenty of souvenirs that lined all the shelves in your rooms.
You burst through the door and dropped your backpack carelessly by the door. You zoomed into the reading room and stopped dead in your tracks, stunned.
It was gorgeous.
Black leggings that shimmered like scales and beautiful black and gold boots. The cape was absolutely magnificent, and the crown was ornately decorated and light. The tunic was so real you almost couldn't believe it.
Your dad came into the room, holding a plate of cookies and a huge smile on his face. "Do you like it?" He asked softly, setting the plate down and wiping his hands on his green shirt.
"I love it daddy..." You whispered, awed. You ran over and hugged him tightly, laughing. "Oh thank you, thank you!" He laughed, hugging you back and twirling you around.
"I'm so glad you like it!" He set you down, breathless, and smiled. "Oh! I also has the scepter." He reached down behind the desk in the room and pulled out a heavy, golden scepter.
You stared at bit and ran your hands down the smooth surface. "It's so beautiful." You sighed.
He smiled and you hugged him again.
"You're the best dad ever."
