Chapter-35 U R Family

Anu's POV

The day after the club incident I had to admit I was still on cloud nine. I mean wouldn't you be if your boyfriend told you he was in love with you?

We were all currently at lunch sitting at our usual spot, the steps, until Harsh came looking like he got ran over by a semi truck. His clothes were wrinkled, his hair was sticking up all over the place and there were dark bags under his eyes.

"Dude, you look like you went to hell for a picnic and came back." Akshit said.

"Shut the hell up." Harsh said irritated as he plopped down next to me and took my water bottle out of my hands taking a gulp from it.

"Hey!" I said smacking Harsh over the head for taking my water, but I didn't take it back because it looks like he needed more than I did.

"Ouch, Anu don't do that I have a major headache." He whined holding the back of his head due to the pain.

"No one told you to drink so much." I said.

"I know, I know but in my defense I was just trying to have a good time."

I shook my head and stood up patting his head a bit too hard causing him to wince from the pain.

I just love messing with Harsh. I grabbed my trash and took it to the garbage can, when I turned back around Rohit was in front of me and he looked a bit nervous.

"Something wrong?" I asked him.

"Uh, no actually I wanted to ask you
something." He said and I gave him a look that told him to continue. "Well, Radha maa, actually, you know na she's more than my cook since she practically raised me. She's been asking to meet you because according to her she wants to meet 'the girl who has brought back a smiling Rohit.' So I was wondering if you would like to go and meet her after college. If you don't want to its fine." Rohit said
nervously.

I grinned at him. "Rohit I would love to go and meet her."

Rohit sighed, obviously relieved I agreed. "Thank you, Anu. She'll love you." He said putting his arm around my shoulders.

"Well, I hope so."

When college ended Rohit and I didn't waste any time. We said good-bye to our friends and got into his car and made our way to his house. I have to admit I was a bit nervous meeting the lady that practically raised Rohit when his parents weren't there. I just hoped she liked me.

Once we were parked in his roundabout driveway Rohit took my hand and led me inside to the kitchen where I saw a lady around her fifties with grayish hair bustling around the kitchen.

Rohit gave me one last smile and released my hand and went up to the lady.

"Maa" Rohit said giving her a kiss on the cheek. She looked up and gave a warm smile and pulled him into a hug.

"Aa gaya mera bacha..! Kaisa raha aaj ka din?" She asked.

"Good." He said. "Me apko kisise milana chahta hu. I know ap pehle bhi mil chuke ho but this time, dusre relation se." Rohit said gesturing towards me. "Maa meet Anu, my girlfriend. Anu meet Radha maa, the amazing lady who practically raised me." When Radha maa's eyes landed on me a bright smile made its way onto her lips. She moved from behind the counter and up to me and gave me a hug.

"Mujhe bahot acha laga ki tum mujhse milne aayi beta..." She said happily. I smiled at her.

"Mujhe khushi hai ki me apse milne aayi, aunty."
