Chapter-41(B) This Is Not The End

Sonam's POV

Its been two long months and am staying alone. I know you must be thanking, where have my parents disappeared all of a sudden. But let me tell you, my mom was a bit ill, and so for her treatment mom and dad have had to shift to some other city. Hopefully she will get well soon and come back home..

Huff.. Its morning and I don't want to be sad. I went to bathroom to complete my regular routine.

After freshening up, I went to kitchen and grabbed a bowl from the cabinet and filled it with some cereal. I opened the fridge door to get some milk when a light blue cake box caught my eye. I studied the box. It wasn't there last night when I went into the fridge last night. Probably I forgot if anybody had dropped it, well let's see what kind of cake it is!

I took the box out the fridge and placed it on the counter and opened it. Inside was a really pretty cake, its outer frosting was of a light aqua color. It was designed with white frosting petals cascaded around it. I admired the beautiful cake in front of me. I glance to the side of the box and saw a white card labeled with my name on it. I picked up the card in curiosity. Who would get me such a pretty cake and for what reason? I opened up the card and started to read it.

'Dear Sonam,

Such a pretty cake isn't it? I thought you might admire something like that. I don't know much about you, but I know enough. Your favorite color is a light blue, like the ocean. You love the flowers, lilies, just naming a few things. You might not have a huge part in this, but you still have a part. That's why I thought this would be a simple sound way of a warning. Don't get more involved into this then what you are, Sonam. You will regret it immensely. Hope your mom is well. Enjoy the cake.

P.S. You should really get that lock in
your back door fixed.

Akshit's POV

"Bhai! Meko pancakes khani hai, pleaz!" Alyana exclaimed while latched onto my leg.

"Alyana, can you please get off my leg?" I asked trying to lift my leg to walk.

"I will, if you say yes." Alyana countered. I raised an eyebrow at her in surprise with her reply. "Pleaz bhai?" She asked again this time with puppy dog eyes.

I groaned, this little girl's cuteness will be the death of me. "Fine, I'll make you pancakes." I finally said bending over picking her up in my arms. Alyana leaned in and gave my cheek a small peck which in returned caused me to ruffle her hair.

"Thank ew, bhai!" She exclaimed obviously happy that I agreed. I walked to the kitchen with Alyana still in my arms and sat her down on top of the counter top. I grabbed the ingredients to make her favorite, chocolate chip pancakes, and started make the batter. I have to say that. I am a pretty awesome big brother. Not to brag or anything but how many big brothers do you know will get up early in the morning to make their little sister pancakes? Not many? That's what I thought.

"What are you doing today?" Alyana asked me as she swung her legs back and forth patiently waiting for her pancakes.

"Well." I said flipping the pancake I had in the frying pan over to cook. "I plan on going to college and learn today."

"I wish I was in college." Alyana said as she continued to kick her legs.

"Alya, enjoy all the free time you have. Because when you do start school you won't have that much time to play with your dolls, go to the park to play or watch Disney movies." I said taking out the last pancake from the pan and placing it on the stack that was on the plate.
