Chapter 123

emily pov

"hi." she croaked out weakly.

i smiled so brightly, i thought it would rip through my cheeks.

tears poured out and i laughed so happily, "you're okay alison. you're okay." i said and smiled, lifting her hand up to my lips and kissing it.

victoria and elijah smiled and kissed her forehead.

right away she sat up, "where's olivia." she said.

hanna and cece moved out of the way and olivia looked over, smiling and crying at the same time.

"my baby girl." alison said and sobbed.

"are you okay?" she asked and olivia just stared at her.

"um alison-"

"olivia sweetie look at me." alison said and olivia turned her head, confused.

"alison stop." i said and grabbed her hand.

"what? what's wrong?" she asked.

i sighed, "she's deaf alison."

alison's eyes went wide with terror and her face drained of color.

"w-what?"

i sighed, "she's deaf alison. the crash made her deaf. it messed with her brain and cut off her hearing babe."

alison teared up and sobbed, "oh my god..."

i rubbed her back, "it's okay alison. we will help her. okay? i still remember sign language from that college course i took and i had to learn it for the military. part of my training." 

she nodded and closed her eyes, "i'm just happy she's alive...but her life is going to completely change emily." 

i nodded, "i know. but we will never leave her side okay? and she has her older sister and brother." i said and nodded and the door opened, "oh my god."

alison pov

"oh my god." charlotte ran in and hugged me.

"i'm so sorry ali. mom and dad just drove here. the road was closed off. i'm so happy you're okay."

i smiled and took her hand, "it's okay. thank you for being here." i said and kissed my sister's hand.

"hanna filled me in. i will be there for you guys and olivia no matter what okay? i will be the best aunt ever." she said and i chuckled, "i know you will babe." i said and smiled.

"mwanma" i heard olivia try to say.

i looked over and smiled, reaching for her hand.

when our hands touched i nodded, "we'll get through this. we can help her." i said and smiled, knowing we can do this with her.

mom and dad walked in and i smiled and hugged them.

"oh my baby." dad said and kissed my forehead.

the doctor came in and explained some things and we got a few guides on ASL (american sign language) and books on it.

i stood up wobbly and hanna grabbed me, holding me up.

"thanks."

she smiled and kissed my cheek, "of course." we walked out and emily carried olivia.

"god i can't believe this." i said and sighed.
