Rejection Before Karma

Chapter 14

I felt the pressure in my head telling me that someone was trying to contact me through the mind-link. By the force of it I could tell that it was Colton. I let my walls down to give him an instruction.

"Colton." I growled. My feet were pumping faster than they ever had before. The forest was a blur as I ran and not a sound of forest life was heard. 

"Babe, what's wrong? Why is Kairo shouting after you?" His voice was panicked. 

"Clear the area of any kids and make sure that Alex has no one standing near him." I shut off the connection and blurred through the trees. The trees started thinning giving me partial sight of the clearing were the party was being held. With my even more enhanced sight I could see that all the moms and kids were running into the house. Thankfully there weren't many kids present tonight. Most families were in their homes. Even though I was in Blood Lust my wolf would never allow any innocent person to get hurt. 

"Get the pack doctors! We are going to need them!" Colton's voice rang out in full alpha mode. 

"What's happening?" Alex's voice reached my ears and I pumped myself to go even faster. I could practically feel the fury running through my system.

"You! Stand over there. You're in shit this time. What did you do to Ketzia?" I saw Colton throw Alex into the wide space that was meant for me to have free reign at him.

"What?" Alex shouted. I let out a roar as I burst through the edge of where the forest started. It vibrated through the grounds and I saw many people wince from the loudness of it. My alpha presence was out as well. Jackson saw my eyes and cursed. 

"Shit! Everybody stand back, now!"Jackson ordered and the crowd moved back further. The nosy people were scrambling to see what the hell was going on. Alex, the idiot was spinning around in circles trying to figure out what was wrong. He turned just as I rocketed past him and punched him right in the mouth. He fell to the ground. I spun into the air, twisted and reached out. I dug my claws into the ground to keep me from skidding. Long claw marks branded into the ground. Alex got up and spat the blood from his mouth. He looked at the blood on the floor in shock before his gaze shot to me in anger. It fizzled out when he caught sight of my face which was cracking and popping. I now knew that my features were becoming animilistic. My skin was stretched tightly and my teeth were sharpened into points. Alex backed up a step, blood draining from his face.

"Ketzia, listen to me-" I growled low and hard while standing up slowly. Effectively shutting him up. 

"No, you listen to me, Alexander Kingsley." I growled, "You were supposed to accept me as your mate!" I ran at him, grabbed his shirt and threw him a good few meters. He smacked into the ground and rolled before he stopped. When he looked up I smiled at him cruelly. His eyes were darkening, a sign that his alpha wolf was coming out. He stood up, ready for the next attack. 

"I was supposed to be the one who stood by you but you would rather be with sluts than be with me." I ran at him again. He blocked my punch to the face but not the kick to his stomach. He grunted and bent over gasping for air. I went to kick him again but he grabbed my leg and launched me into the air. I twisted at the last second and landed in a crouch on the ground. I didn't fail to notice that we were in the sand pit where the fights took place.

"I didn't have a choice! You weren't what I needed." He shouted his dark eyes wild. He was huffing and puffing. I could see him struggling to keep the control of his wolf.

"What? And now I am? All you had to do was help me toughen up but you decided to kick me to the curb and keep those selfish leeches that were permanently stuck to your arm!" We collided in a tangled heap on the ground. Growls and barks coming out of our mouths. I punched and kicked where could and Alex did too. His claws dug into me numerous times but the pain didn't register in my mind.

We broke apart when I threw him across the circle once more. Alex jumped right back up. "They were strong. You were not." That infuriated me even more and I let my wolf have all control. Let him have it. was all I said to her. I felt the easy slip between my control and hers. With pleasure. was her reply. I ran at him and slid on the ground between his legs. When I came to a stop I swung my legs in an arch and swiped his feet out from underneath him. He fell with a shout. I wasted no time, jumped on top of him and let loose. All my anger, pain, desperation fulling each and every punch and scratch. 

"You could've chosen anything to be an excuse for the rejection!" punch to the mouth. "I couldn't handle the pressure of being a luna!" another punch, "It was too dangerous for you to have mate." punch, "You wouldn't be able to focus on being alpha." punch, "But you called me weak!" I screamed. Alex's arms fell to the side with a defeated cry from him. With renewed energy and a loud growl and with one shove he pushed me off. His full alpha was out and he came at me. He punched me on the mouth and my head snapped to side. I gathered the blood in my mouth and spat it out. I laughed an emotionally detached laugh. 

"Look to Colton, Alex! There's my mate. The man who I will marry. I will be the luna you wished you had. I will protect this pack with my life and even if I die I will haunt this land and protect it from all harm and danger. By the Moon Goddess this is swear!" We launched at each other once more with everything we still had left. I swung and raked my claws across his chest ripping his shirt in the process. Alex staggered back. Stepping forward I roundhouse kicked him to the floor. Stepping over him so that one foot rested on either side of him. I grabbed him by fistfuls of the parts of the shirt that wasn't torn. I lifted his top half off the ground and leaned down so that we were face to face. His was bloody and swollen. I could only imagine what mine was. Slowly my wolf gave me back my control and I felt the Blood Lust fade away. I felt my features slide to human once more. Once my features were back to normal I looked the blue-eyed wolf in the eyes searching them for any sign of regret. I didn't find any. With one last growl I let go of the last of the built up anger I had.

"Am I strong enough for you now, Alpha?" was all I said before I dropped him back onto the ground and walked off.
