RECAP:

"I just called to say that Tashard likes you! Isn't that great?" She sounded ecstatic. I wasn't.

"No. That's not great." I said flatly.

"Why not?" She said sounding down.

"You know I'm with Reuben. Plus, I don't like Tashard that way. We're just friends." I explained.

"Oh shit. Well, you just broke his heart, man."

"What? No I didn't." I retaliated.

"Yes you did." Says a male voice in the background.

"The heck. Sharnell, who is- Tashard?!" I replied shocked.

END OF RECAP:

"I gotta go." I hear Tashard say in the background.

"No, wait!" I say through the phone. I hear a door slam shut. " I told you you broke his heart." Sharnell says. She then hung up. I sighed and put my phone on my bedside cabinet. I pulled down the blinds for the window. I creamed myself. I put on my matching pink underwear and put on my pink leopard print onesie and tried calling Tashard. He didn't pick up. I waited for 15 minutes and tried calling him on private number. He answered.

"Hello?" He said calmly.

"Tashard!" I called desperately. He kissed his teeth and hung up. I sighed. I decided to let him have some time to himself. I put my phone back onto my bedside cabinet and went to tidy up. After 30 minutes of solid tidying up, I soaked my blazer in a bucket full of warm water and Vanish for 35 minutes. I then hung it on a hanger and let it dry.

I went into the bathroom and washed the conditioner out of my hair. I then blotted it with a towel,to the point where the water didn't drip so much but my hair was still wet. I went into my bedroom, applied my leave-in, blew my hair dry and straightened it. I wrap my hair, cover it with a scarf and turn on the nightlight next to my bed. Yes, I'm 15 and I have a nightlight. Problem? I pull down my blinds, turn off my bedroom light and get into bed, thinking about Tashard till I fall asleep.

The Next Morning:

The alarm on my phone sounded and I groggily got out of bed. The sun filtered its way through my blinds and cascaded my room with a dim light. I looked at my clock and saw that it was 6:15. Ugh! I couldn't be bothered to go to school. I struggled to sleep because my mind was filled with thoughts of Tashard. I decided that I could have a 10 minute snooze. I put my alarm on snooze, went back into my bed and pulled the quilt over my head. I closed my eyes only for them to pop open again. My door bursts open and I pull the quilt off my head so that only one of my eyes are exposed. Trey and Sean are standing at the door. "Get up girl! You have school!" Says Sean loudly. No shit Sherlock, I think to myself. "Oi! Get Up!" booms Trey. I duck under the covers again. I hear someone kiss their teeth. Hearing my door click as it closes, I relax and close my eyes again. My room is silent as the boys let me get back to sleep. Or so I thought. Suddenly, the quilt is whipped off my body . I groan. I open my eyes to see Trey holding my quilt and Sean banging a pot with a wooden spoon. "Get you're arse up! If you don't, I'll get the water." Trey warns. Normally, just hearing that is enough to make me spring out of bed. I don't this time. I sigh. I reluctantly get off the bed. Sean stops hitting the pot and says "There we go. Be quick and get ready. Me and Trey need to shower too." He says pointing at himself and Trey. I sigh again. I walk slowly, shouldering Sean on the way, causing him to stumble slightly. "What the flip man!" he says. I ignore him and glare at Trey. He looks at me with a concerned look on his face. I fling open my door, causing it to hit the wall. I storm out the room and walk straight into the bathroom.
