RECAP:

"GET! OOOOUUUUTTTTT!!!!" I yell at him. He doesn't budge and I jump out of the bed. I limp to him, recognising the cast on my foot and leg, ignoring the pain once again. I start hitting him on his chest. My small fists making a hell of an impact on him. He stumbles back into the wall.

"Sam, what're you doin'?" I hear one of my brothers say. I continue hitting Tashard on the chest.

"GET OUT, TASHARD!!!!!!!!" I screamed. I stopped hitting him and backed up into the wall, sliding down it, and breaking down in tears. I put my knees up to my chest and rest my arms on it. I put my head on my arms, crying uncontrollably.

"Nae." Tashard says softly, touching my arm. I flinch and, back away from him.

"Please don't touch me." I say. He tries to touch me and comes closer. "No, please. Please don't touch me. I don't want you anywhere near me. Please just leave me alone." I plead in a high squeaky voice.

There is silence in the room apart from my crying. I can feel his eyes on me. "Fine." he says. "I'm gone." he walks away and opens the door. He slams it shut behind him, causing me to jump. I feel my brothers come to me. I run my hands through my hair, my head still down. They sit on the floor with me. Trey pulls me into a hug. I lean on his chest and he wraps his arms around me. Sean then rubs my back. They whisper to me that everything is fine and everything is going to be alright. They say that they aren't going to let anyone hurt me again and that they will protect me. Just hearing them say that makes me feel safer again.

END OF RECAP:

Later that day:

My door burst open and Sharnell runs in. "Oh my gosh! Shanae!" she exclaimed, running to me. Her brown curls bounce gracefully on her shoulders. She hugs me and I hug her back. "I'm so sorry. I would have come earlier but I have an education to get, you get me?" I laugh a little.

"Yeah I get you. So what happened at school with my absence?" I ask.

"Um, well, for some odd reason, Tashard and Reuben weren't there. Um, some year 7 boys decided to fight. I got and A in Psychology which was awesome! Hm, nothing else really."

"Oh, okay." She takes a seat at the end of the hospital bed. She looks me in my eyes.

"So, how did things go with Tashard?" she asks. I immediately stiffen.

"Er, um, I don't want to talk about it." I say not looking at her.

"Eeerrrrrrrr, okay." she replies slowly. "I saw him though, on my way here. He was in his uniform so I guess he was bunking." I nod. "He looked proper angry doe."

"Did you talk to him?" I ask. She looks at me wide eyed.

"No! I'm not gonna cross dat, are you mad? When boys get angry, that's another level. If I see a boy angry, imma stay CLEAR." I laugh at her.

"Yeah." I reply.

"Now, tell me about what happened between you and Tashard."

"Iii don't want to."

"Why not?" she asked.

"Cos I don't want to."

"Please tell me."

"Naah man."

"Oh come on, please." she said faking a smile.

"No. I'm not tellin'."

"He kissed you innit?" she said smirking and raising an eyebrow. I furrowed my eyebrows. Wow, I do that a lot.

"No, far from it." I replied.
