(Part 24)

"Mackenzie! I have something to tell you!"

I got up from my bed in response from Harry calling out to me.

I walked to my door and opened it up.

As I walked into the living room, I see Harry standing next to the couch putting on his vest. It was his work vest. To be honest, I think he looks pretty goofy wearing that thing.

"I was mentioned?" I say.

He nods his head.

"Yeah. Listen I have a surprise for you. Well for the both of us actually."

"Okay."

He turned and looked to me.

He smiled.

"So I was thinking you come to work with me because I'm going to start working a little longer hours. But I have a reason."

He pauses.

"I'm trying to earn money so that I can by us some phones!"

My jaw completely dropped.

"Are you being serious?" I question.

He smiled.

"That's great Harry!"

I run to him and smother him with a giant hug.

"Well we need them. Just in case of emergencies. And I need you to come with so you can look at some of our choices we have there. But don't expect me to get you a three hundred dollar phone okay?"

"I know Harry. You know which one you want?"

He shook his head.

"Nope. But let's hope I have something we'll both like."

I nod.

"So are you coming to work with me? If so, get ready. Unless you're already set."

"I'm good. Is Liam picking us up?"

He shook his head quickly.

"Nope. His uh car broke down. So h-he can't pick us up."

He said that rather odd. Oh well. Harry is Harry and let me tell you. He really is odd.

"Alright so we're taking your car?"

"Yeah. Alright let's go."

We both made our way to the front door and left the house.

As we climbed into the car, Harry turned the AC. According to the weather service, it's a high of ninety eight today. I am so not in for that.

"Hey remember, no fighting Harry," I remind him.

He shook his head.

"Don't worry about me I won't. Louis' the one that needs watch what he does."

I roll my eyes.

"You have a mini temper yourself though. Don't let it take over okay?"

He nods.

"Promise."

I nod as I looked out the window.

"You know you still need to stick up for yourself though."

He looked over to me then back at the road.
