(Part 22)

(2 Days After The Funeral)

(Harry's POV)

After the talk I had with Mackenzie two days ago, I feel a lot better.

I don't know why though.

Most of the things I said to her were actually me explaining what I saw in her journal. I can see in her eyes that she is hurt. But I also read it all on paper. Most of the passages were about me.

And of course she wants me to open up to her and tell her everything.

I just can't.

I can't tell her that her own brother paid people to become friends with her because I don't trust her. I just don't want anyone saying the wrong things to one another. Mackenzie just has this way of speech. She says too little or too much.

I want to help her with that. But then she'll know that I don't trust her. I don't want to make her feel bad.

It sucks that she thinks she's trusting me. But again I read her journal.

So much for the, "Brother Of The Year," award thing.

I didn't finish reading it though.

I got to page 34. There's about 68. She really likes to write.

Write? Oh no! Villa West! I completely forgot about that.

"Mackenzie Villa West! We forgot to sign you up!" I shout from my room.

"I don't want to anymore," she says.

That's not like her. Is she sad again?

I get up from my bed and walk into her room.

She was under the sheets.

I lifted them up.

"You okay?" I ask.

She faces me.

"Tired."

I nod.

"You had a lot to get through. You should get some rest. But why don't you want to do the writing classes?"

She shakes her head.

"Dunno."

I looked into her eyes.

"You're not okay are you?"

She huffs.

"Dunno," she repeated.

I lay next to her.

"Mackenzie what's going on?"

She closes her eyes.

"Sad."

"Why? Mackenzie speak in sentences come on why are you sad and don't say, "dunno" again."

"You think I cannot communicate right?" She asks.

I start getting worried.

"N-no I jus-"

She sat up and cuts me off.

"You don't know me Harry," She says.

I blinked.

"You don't know how I really am. How I struggle. And don't try to cover up your lies anymore. I know everything you think of me Harry. You don't trust me. Liam told me everything Harry he told me the truth. That's all I wanted but not from him. From you. He called."
