(Part 35)

Everyone was silent for a moment. We all stood and kept noise level to a complete mute. It was awkward and completely miserable.

"Just, please come with me, Harry. We all need a moment to take a breather and relax here an-"

"No Louis, I'm not leaving without Mackenzie."

"Harry please we all need to calm down-"

"Louis I can't leave without her!"

"Harry, what about what I want?" I cut in.

He looked at me. His lip quivered and tears formed in his eyes. He looked as if he was trying not to fall apart. I didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry I just...I really miss us! Okay? I want to go back and restart! That's all I ask, Mackenzie please! I just want to be a good brother, a good person to you. I want to be there for you. I want to understand just tell me what you need to tell me and just please-"

He took a breath.

"Don't let me go."

Flashbacks started to play in my mind. Of us. Old times, times that had happened recently. But they were good flashbacks.

I felt my heart drop as I finally understood. He had been trying to help me all along. He just didn't know how. He didn't want to make me feel depressed and or lost by telling me the truth. He was trying to...to save me.

"Harry I.."

I felt dizzy. I didn't want to have another blackout. Not here and definitely not now.

I tried my best to stay up.

"I love you and I'm sorry I didn't realize everything that you've been trying to do was on good terms and I was just being harsh and snappy. None of this would be happening right now if it weren't for me. We wouldn't even be here right now."

I took a breath.

"I'm sorry."

Liam and Harry looked down at me as Louis was still tugging at Harry's sleeve. Then Louis had let go and walked over to me. I must've been failing to stay up because he was holding me and all of a sudden I felt Niall's hand on my arm as well, pulling strength to hold me. I would've backed away but I think Niall now knows what he's said and done. A sudden burst of trust grew on me for Niall.

Harry didn't walk to me. Harry ran to me and gave me the biggest hug. He even picked me up and off of my feet and spun me around a bit.

We were both laughing and crying at the same time. He had the biggest smile on his face as did I, and at that moment, I think everything fell into pace once again.

(2 weeks later...)

"Happy Birthday dear, Mackenzie..." Liam, Harry, Louis and Niall sang. "Happy Birthday to you!"

It was the day. I'm officially fifteen. I feel a lot better and amazingly happy. Even me and Niall were doing good which I honestly didn't see that turn to happen.

"Make a wish, Mack!" Harry says.

I smiled and looked right at the burning candles on my happy birthday cake sitting right in front of me.

I made a wish silently in my head.

"I wish that nothing like the past will happen again"

All of the friend and Niall drama, Me and Harry and the Liam situation. It had all vanished as if it were all just a nightmare that you've forgotten about the next morning.

I blew out my candles and they clapped.

"Presents! Open mine first! Me!" Louis shouted.

I giggled as I grabbed the small box he was holding.

I carefully opened it to find a little plastic case that looked like it fit a...cell phone?

"Louis, I love you I really do but, if you have forgotten, I don't have a cell phone," I say.

"Is that so?"

Harry brought another small box out and handed it to me.

I gasped.

"You're kidding."

He smirked.

"Nope. Why don't you go ahead and open it?"

I opened up the box to find a phone. My phone that I had asked for.

"I ran up to Harry and Louis and told them these would be good last minute gifts but, Harry apparently already had this planned," Liam says.

I smiled.

"Thank you," I say hugging them.

"I got you a little something myself," Niall says.

I looked up at him as he brings a medium sized box over to me.

"I think you'll like it."

I opened up the box to find flowers, a note, and a birthday card. I had picked up the note first to read.

"Dear Mackenzie, I'm glad we have now started an amazing friendship and that we havw gotten through this. I'm very happy to call you my friend Sincerely, Niall."

I teared up and ran right to Niall and gave him a big hug.

"Thank you so much Niall."

He smiles.

"Thank you for taking me in," he replied.

We have had a crazy ride. All of us. But from where we are now, I say we kicked bad lucks ass.
