Chapter 15: The Dragneel History

Heyy. Midnight here. This chapter will revolve around Levy and Gajeel with a bit of Gray and Juvia but I will reveal some of the Dragneel history.

3rd person P.O.V

As soon as Rose, Natsu, Lucy, Happy and Sylvia left the guild hall, Levy went to the guilds library, remembering a book she saw a few years before Tenrou.
"Lets see..." she hears cheers from the hall. Probably Rose or Natsu. I mean, they didn't say where they were going... ah! Levy pulls a book off the shelf. The History of the Dragneel Family. She walks into the guild hall and sits at one of the tables and starts scanning the contents page.
"What are you reading, Shrimp?" Gajeel asks from across the table.
"Its a book on the Dragneel family history. Its a magical book that updates automatically as more of us are found." She flicks through the pages and puts the book down at a page filled with names. "Here it has the current twenty Dragneels... well nineteen since Rose still has one to find." They both lean over the book and read the names.

The following 20 pages are filled with information on each person except one which is blank.
"Why isn't the name of the final one here?" Gajeel asks, leaning closer to Levy and the book.
Levy blushes and turns away, muttering: "well, Rose hasn't found him/her yet so..." shes interrupted by the door crashing open.
A black haired boy with a pink stripe in his hair stands in the doorway, a black haired man behind him.

"Faron! Papa!" Summer jumps up from the bar and runs towards the mages, hugging the larger of the two. "Welcome back, Papa. Mamas gone to see the dragons since Uncle Natsu is back."
"Hey, Rogue!" Kinana greets.
(A/N: I probably should have mentioned this but durin the seven years everyone was on Tenrou, Sting became Sabertooths master since the GMG never happened)
"Wheres Frosch?" Jet asks.
"Sting took him and Lector and went back to Sabertooth. He had some work to do there."
"Do you know what guild you want to join, Faron?" Summer asks.
Faron twirls the pink highlight around his finger before answering. "Not yet. I might join Lamia Scale or one of the new ones like Lavenders Heart or become a mercenary like Mama was before she joined Fairy Tail."
"Now, now, son. We've talked about this. Your mother wants you to be a guild wizard and stick with your sister so you don't make the same mistakes she did."
Its then he snapped.
"Leaving Natsu wasn't a mistake! She just thinks it is!" Faron yells. The heat in the room raises, causing the men to strip out of their shirts.
"Faron, calm down!" Jet yells.
"It feels like Tenrou in here," Cana says, drinking from her barrel.
Faron leaves the hall, his sister following behind, and the temperature drops drastically.

Gajeel sighs. "Salamanders sisters kids look like a handful." He shakes his head and pulls away from the book and Levy, a light blush covers his cheeks once he realizes how close he was to her.
"Y-yeah... w-well... s-shes my little s-sister as well," Levy stutters.
"So... back to my history..." Levy mutters.
She flicks through the pages before she gets to a page titled 'Dragon Slayers'. "Huh... strange."
Gajeel glances at the page and closes the book, thinking he should be the one to tell her.

Levys P.O.V

I start to read through the page entitled 'Dragon Slayers' when Gajeel slams the book closed and pulls me to my feet, pulling me into the empty library.
"Gajeel! What are you doing!?"
"I want to explain something to you." He rubs the back of his neck, his cheeks turning a dark shade of pink.
Is he... blushing?
"Dragons and Dragon Slayers have one person they stay with for life. One... mate..."
Why is he telling me this?"
"What does this have to do with-"
He smashes his lips onto mine.

I tense in surprise before fully comprehending whats happening and kissing him back. He puts his hands on my waist and I slip my arms around his neck.
He pulls away. "You're my mate, Shrimp. I didn't want you to know from some book."
I smile softly, heat rushing to my cheeks.
Gajeel sniffs the air and grimaces.
"Whats wrong?" I ask.
"Salamanders back with his sister. Charcoal and smoke. Its an overwhelming scent. Bunny girls with them as well."
"Lu-chans back!" I run out of the library, dodging a fireball.

Grays P.O.V

I notice Gajeel dragging Levy into the library. Just a few seconds after, Flame Brain, his sister and Lucy walk in.
"Baka!" Rose hits her brother over the head and he rubs the spot where she hit it, grinning.
"Luce, you agree with me, right?" Natsu asks.
"Sorry, Natsu, I agree with Roseanne."
"Told ya. Your an idiot. Besides, address our princess properly. Baka!" She hits him again.
Princess?
I shake my head and scan the room for Juvia. I see her at the bar, talking to the Strauss sisters, a grin on Mirajanes face. I shudder, wondering what they're talking about. Before I can eavesdrop on them, a flaming arrow hits my arm.
"What the Hell, Flame Brain!" I turn towards the two twins, Rose in her Jade dragon Take-Over, Flame Brain with his fists on fire. Mavis knows what he plans on doing to a Fire Dragon Slayer but still.
"I didn't do anything!" He yells to me without breaking his gaze with his sister.
"Jade Dragon Wing Attack!" Rose flies up and charges at Natsu with wings coated in jade.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Flame Brain attacks one of her wings but gets hit by the second wing.
Shes gunna destroy him. I shake my head and join his side. "You're never going to win like that."
"Have you ever fought against scales? Only luck allowed me to destroy Gajeels in the battle against Phantom." I shake my head once more and analyze Roses scales.
"You don't want to fight my scales?" Rose asks. "Take-Over! Dragon Soul!" She glows and leaves us wondering what form shes going to take. The wings and her tail disappears and her nails shrink. The glow fades. "Phoenix!" Her arms have turned into wings and her dragons tail is bigger and feathers cover her body. Her feet have turned into talons.
"A phoenix..." Natsu and I mutter in unison.
"Gray-sama! You can defeat a phoenix!" Juvia calls out to me. "Juvia believes in you!"
"I don't think either of us can defeat a phoenix." Natsu admits. Rose transforms back to her normal self.
"No. I only managed to defeat it once I used my Take-Over. Queen Layla told me to use it because each type of Dragon Slayer, if they possess the Dragon Soul, has a mythical creature they can also transform into. Fire happens to be a phoenix."
"G-Gray-sama..." I look towards Juvia. She has a disappointed look in her eyes. "He... gave up?"
"Juvia, the power of a phoenix far exceeds that of mine. Even if it is Roseanne, her power was equal to that of a phoenix."
Juvia nods.
"Give her this," Rose whispers, pushing something into my chest. A jade necklace with matching earrings and a bracelet. "It was made using my Ice make magic mixed with my Jade Dragon Take-Over."
I nod and take the jewelry.
"Juvia. I got you these. I was planning on giving them to you after Tenrou but... you know." I give her the jewelry and she hugs me.
"Thank you Gray-sama!"
I blush. "Y-your w-welcome." I stutter.
I notice Flame Brain laughing before Rose whispers something to him and his face turns the colour of Erzas hair. "Nee-san!" He shouts. Rose laughs. Juvia pulls away from me.
"Juvia is so happy, Gray-sama finally noticed her!" She puts the jewelry on and prances around the guild, talking about how 'Gray-sama loves her'.
Maybe I do...

So sorry the ending was a bit rushed but I wanted to mention Roseannes phoenix Take-Over. So sorry about that. Still, I have college work I have to do and I wanted this chapter up. Ciao-M
