Hope's P.O.V
I sit by Roseanne. I occasionally see my family, although I see Rose's children, Natsu, Lucy and Nashi the most. I babysit the three children a lot. My body heat returned to normal temperature after I met Roseanne and I'm able to touch people again.
Wendy walks in to reinforce the spell.
"How's she doing?"
"Not very well, I'm afraid. I fear that no amount of healing will help her. The prophecy was very clear, 19 of the 20 will survive. Since Rose chose to give her life for Natsu and the fate of the world, she's the one to die."
I sigh. I was worried about that.
Her Take-Over changes to her ice dragon Take-Over. It's been doing that since we put her in a magic induced coma, her magics been unstable.
I walk back into the guild hall. Wendy said she needs space to work. Sylvia is with Happy. She's been hanging around him a lot lately. He's a good shoulder for her to cry on. Lily is looking after a sniffling Kino. He knows how to look after him. Natsu is looking after Nashi, while Lucy spends time with Summer and Faron. Faron joined Sabertooth after perfecting his duel Dragon Slayer magic, and they're both helping Summer with her rune magic. It's a way of keeping her mind off the pain.
I leave the guild without a word and go back to my guild.
Roseanne's P.O.V
It's just black. I don't know how long I've been like this but, occasionally, there's a blue light every once in a while and I can hear Rogue and Natsu at times.
"Roseanne Dragneel." A blue scaled person with a long dress appears in front of me. She has Dragon wings on her back and a long dragon tail. She's wearing a long dress that brushes her ankles.
"Aqua!" I rush towards the female dragon and hug her, tears in my eyes.
"Roseanne, my child, it's been three years since Acnologia died, and the Celestial Realm is getting uneasy. The Zodiac spirits are going to break their contracts in a few days, and the silver keys will soon follow."
My eyes widen and I move back to look at the dragon. "The war..."
Aqua nods. My Take-Over changes to my Celestial Dragon form. Fitting.
"The spirits will wreak havoc on the Dragon realm. I have asked Yukino Agria and Lucy Dragneel to go to the water portal to the Dragon realm, the one that requires Aquarius."
"Yukino?"
"Lucy?"
The two voices ring out and the scene changes to one under the water. The fish swim around us, the plants tickling my bare feet. We rise, the water moving around me like a current. A splash alerts the Celestial mages to our presence.
"Rose!" Lucy takes a step forward before realising. "You aren't actually here..."
"Roseanne, say what you must."
"Lucy, please, tell my brother, my children, my love, that I didn't want to leave them. I'll do everything I can to keep my magic burning, to keep my life in tact to return but I don't know how long it'll take."
Lucy nods and turns her gaze to Aqua. "Why did you call us here?"
She looks so much like Layla when she's demanding answers, the way the ruler of the dragons should be.
"I'm here to warn you. Both of you hold all 13 gold gate keys between you, and hold silver keys. All the dragons and the celestial spirits have been at war for years. Queen Layla hated the Celestial spirits, however, in exchange for her to live, the Celestial Spirit King made her a Celestial spirit wizard and a celestial dragon. Once this war happens, every spirit will temporarily nullify their contracts with their wizard and fight against the dragons." Aqua explains.
Lucy's hand immediately moves to the keys on her waist and Yukino falls to her knees. Lucy's keys glow, as if apologising.
"What will happen to the Dragon Slayers when the war comes?" Lucy asks.
"They will fight alongside the dragons. Each dragon is going to the Dragon Slayer who holds their element to tell them this." I say. "Lucy Heartfilia, queen of the dragons, you shall lead the attack, you shall command the dragon army."
Lucy looks at me in shock.
"I don't want to fight my friends!"
"You have no choice in the matter, Heartfilia. You, along with your prince, my brother, will command the army."
"But, I have a daughter! I can't leave her!"
I sigh. "I'm not happy my sons going to be fighting alongside you, however, it is what was written in legend. Every Dragon Slayer will be taken to an alternate world to fight."
I look at Aqua. "Right now, my physical form is by Roseannes side. Terra thinks a mothers love can wake her, and I'm the closest thing to a mother this poor child had." She ruffles my hair and I smile, a lone tear in my eye.
"Lucy, I suggest you find someone willing to take care of your daughter if you and Natsu die in the war. Yukino, if Rogue passes away, please look after Summer for me. The soul link between Faron and Summer isn't something easily broken, however, with both in different dimensions, it shouldn't affect Summer."
Yukino shakes her head. "I'm sorry, but I can't. Rogue is doing a job in Crocus with Faron. I know he's going to ask Prince Iono and Princess Hisui to look after both children if something happens to him."
I smile. "Ok."
I start to fade.
"Goodbye, Lucy Dragneel, Yukino Agria." Aqua says before I fade into black.
