Flashback ~
(Midorikawa's POV)
My mouth was so dry I couldn't speak.
Seeing all of my team waiting in the terminal- excited for a new adventure, and not being able to join them myself . I almost felt betrayed.
But then again, Fubuki was in the same position and didn't seem to upset about it.

Maybe I'm just being a cry baby over nothing.

I only realised Hiroto was walking over to me when it was too late for me to get away.
Why does he look so... Happy?
I want to say something, but I just can't - I don't want to say those fateful words to him.

"So, our flight is going to be leaving soon... It's a shame you can't come with us." He said, smiling sadly at me.

"Well, you know, someone has to look after Fubuki, and I'm surprised I even made it this far to be honest, but I'll be fine really!" I blurted out perhaps a little too quickly, trying to put on my best fake smile, although it seems Hiroto could see through it.

I mean, why wouldn't he be able to, we've been through so much together.
I can't bare to let him go now- even if it is only for a little while- I need him beside me, I feel safe around him, he means the world to me.

"Okay let's go everyone!" I heard Endou announce from somewhere at the front of the group.
It was met with resounding cheers and final goodbyes to Fubuki, myself and other former teammates.

"Midorikawa..."  He started looking deeply into my eyes.
He held my hand gently before uttering the words I never wanted to hear.
'Goodbye'

"No, please don't say that- I don't want this to be the end... Please" I began to cry silently, hanging my head as I did so.

"Okay, then perhaps we'll just say , farewell for now?" He said, giving me a warm smile and squeezing my hand tighter.

"Okay, Farewell... For now" I smiled lightly.

That was our promise, but it didn't make it any easier, watching him leave, whilst the tears never ceased to stream down my face.

(Some years later)

"Can you help me brush my hair pwease." The little girl asked, sitting down cross-legged on the floor.

"Of course Honey." The green haired male replied.
He began brushing her hair an styling it into two cute pigtails before sighing and getting up.

'I hope he's alright, he hasn't called in ages, maybe he's just busy.'
Midorikawa thought to himself, as he dragged a hand through his olive coloured hair, sighing once again.

He was met with the faint pitter-patter of their daughter walking into the kitchen.
"Dad, when's Other Dad coming back?"

Midorikawa smiled and picked the little girl up, kissing her lightly on the forehead.
"Don't worry hon, he'll be here soon, he promised, and you know he never breaks his promises." He smiled, carrying her back into the living room and switching on the tele.

(Time skip to 10pm)

Midorikawa patted the girls' head softly , as she slept soundly, and switching off the tv in the process.
He was about to put her to bed, when the door bell rang.
Smiling, he picked up the girl- resting her carefully on him, as not to wake her- and opened the door.

"I'm sorry I'm late, the taxi was late and-"
The red haired man was cut off by their lips connecting for a brief moment before he was practically hugged to death by the other.

"It's okay, you're forgiven." He added with a smile, pulling him inside.

"Told you I never break my promises." Hiroto laughed, stroking their daughters' hair gently, before setting down his suitcase.

"She wanted to stay up and wait for you, but the poor thing was out like a light as soon as it passed 9pm." The green haired one laughed lightly, earning another smile from his husband, as the two made their way upstairs to put their daughter to sleep.

"I missed you so much."

"I missed you more."

Kinda gonna end it here, but I hope you liked it anyway ^^
