(Tachimukai's POV)
There he goes again, saving peoples lives with his brute strength and gorgeous looks.
It's not like I'm jealous of the fact people practically throw themselves at him to be saved, rather than at the weedy, but intelligent sidekick- it's just, maybe I would like some recognition sometimes- or you know, not have to respond to the typical calls of 'my dumb cat is stuck in this tree, but please send the hunky one, not the shrimpy one!' Every five minutes.

It's almost as if people don't take me seriously, I mean hello! I am a superhero, currently saving your dumbass from getting pulverised by a mutated lizard person, because you run away from danger in straight lines!
Seriously, did everyone get their running style from the 'Prometheus school of running away from things' ?

Anyway, enough ranting, it's time to see what our next mission is.

I slump down frustratedly on the plush sofa, wondering when this mental torture will end.

Tsunami shoots me an odd look. "Why the long face?" He questions, stretching and flexing his muscles the way he usually does when he's tired.

I look away from his chiselled body- I'm too angry right now, to be thinking those kinds of thoughts.

I sigh.
"No. No, everything is perfectly peachy over here, nothing is wrong at all."

He gives me a quick glance, "you don't seem okay.." He takes off his mask and places it in a nearby drawer before smoothing out his light pink hair. "You're pissed off aren't you?" It was more of a statement than a question.

"Well of course I'm pissed off! You held me back the entire time, I didn't get to do anything!"

"How so?"

I roll my eyes in annoyance, "you did." I whine-Tsunami is doing that thing that really annoys me- "I hardly think that's fair Tachi, besides, if it wasn't for me, who else would protect you?" He looked at me as if that was his general concern, when I'm pretty sure he was just trying to hog the glory like always.

'No, You're overacting, he's just trying to look out for you.'

'No, he's just Molly-coddling you, like the baby you are. What's the point of you even being a superhero if you keep having to be saved by him anyway? You're not even side-kick material!'

The two voices argue with each other whilst I'm left feeling like shit.

I roll over, smushing my face into the nearest pillow, letting out inaudible screams. I felt a depression form in the sofa and looked up to see Tsunami sitting next to me, giving me a cocky grin.

"I'm sorry if I'm being too overprotective, it's just that I care about you." He ruffled my hair and stood up, pulling me up as he did so.

Quickly he enveloped me in a bone-crushing hug- I really need to teach him to be softer- before I was able to squirm my way out of it, pushing myself away and running over to the door, covering my flushed face as I did so.
"I need some air."

(Tsunami's POV)
It wasn't even two hours after our make-up cuddle that we started arguing again.
Well I say arguing, it was more so him just sighing and shooting me angry glares, whilst I tried to explain myself (even though I'm still not sure what I did to piss him off...)

I don't understand what has gotten into him lately. One minute we're stopping bank robberies, and the next, he's storming out the room whenever I do so much as breathe!
I don't know what he expects me to do.

In our relationship, I'm the brawn, and he's the...brains I guess.... Maybe that should be his new superhero name-The Brain!

Maybe he just needs another hug...or something...I have no idea how to even act in these situations- especially when it's Tachi. My Tachi.
But I hate it when he gets angry at me, and it's not like an explosive anger- it's so passive aggressive- ignoring me, going out of his way to make everything long and difficult for me, or sighing all the goddamn time!

The worst part is, he won't even tell me what I've done wrong.

"Tachi, come on let's go, emergency on Jameson Street." I say, slipping on my mask and bright blue boxing gloves.

Tachimukai just sighed. "Let me guess...that blonde girl Julie- the one that gave you her number- her cat stuck in a tree again?" He said in a slight venomous tone barely moving from his seat on the sofa.

"I highly doubt that Tachi, and for your information, I threw away her phone number anyway." I countered rather proudly, dragging him up from the sofa and towards the door.
I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd actually lost the number, that would just add to the list of things he hates about me.

He grumbled something under his breathe but grabbed his things nethertheless, as we headed out to save the day once again.

"Well you were right, it is a cat, but Whiskers does not look happy to see us." I smirk at Tachimukai as this giant furball bounds towards us, knocking down trees an lampposts and sending pedestrians running left, right and centre.
Because apparently, genetically engineered super cats are all the rage.

I dodged, Managing to avoid a swipe of its furry vengeance (see what I did there) but my partner wasn't so lucky. The monster clipped him with its paw as he tried to dodge, sending him flying like a toothpick through the air.

I managed to rush over and catch him in my arms, but he wasn't having any of it. He jumped out of my arms and scowled, placing his hands on his waist angrily.
"I don't need you to keep saving me! I'm perfectly capable on my-Aahhh!-" he was cut off by the giant cat picking him up- I guess giant cats also have opposable thumbs?- and shaking him like a cat toy.

"Tachi!" I yelled, "don't worry I'll save you-"
"-For goodness sake Tsunami! I can save myself, just sort out this bloody cat!" He shouted back frustratedly and I complied.

My movements became slow and calm as carefully walk d behind it, before yanking its tail sharply.
It let out a 'yowl' as it snapped its head round to face me. The teeth were a lot bigger up close.

I just needed to give Tachimukai some time to escape.
He seemed to catch my vibe and began wiggling himself out of its tight grip.

I kept pulling on the damn cats' tail, trying to keep its attention on me and not my partner. I had dragged it about half way down the pavement when it realised its 'toy' was missing.

"Now it's time to go to sleep kitty!" Tachimukai shouted-appearing out of god knows where- and planting a small shock device onto its fur. The cat went down so quickly that I was nearly squashed under its rolls of fat, but I managed to move at the last minute.

"Jesus Tachi, you could've warned me!" I started, brushing stray cat hairs out of my hair, stopping when I noticed his face. "-ah, but you did good though. I wouldn't have even thought of that!" I smiled and he just smiled back, genuine this time.

"See Tsunami, sometimes I can look after myself, eh?" He said proudly, running a hand through his soft brown hair.

We were just about to make out exit when some crazy fan girls ran up to us, partially blinding me with their phone cameras and hugging me to death.
"That was so brave!"
"You were so strong the way you toon down that..uh..thing!"
"C-can I have an autograph!"

I looked over at Tachimukai who just gave me a sympathetic, yet somber look- I wasn't going to let him down that easily.

"Hey, actually it was really all this guy's handiwork-" I gestured towards Tachi before pushing myself away from the group, and giving him a big hug- "he's the one you should be thanking, even if he doesn't realise just how incredible he is!" I looked into his hazel eyes as he blushed back.

Some of the girls started freaking out, taking photos and talking about a new OTP but I didn't care, I just wanted to be with my superhero.

"Well, gotta run!" Tachimukai concluded, and we sped off- ignoring the fact that a massive mutant cat was still passed out in the middle of the road- "...let's just sort that out tomorrow..."

Well that was way longer than I planned, and it took way longer to write -__-
Sorry for the really slow updates but I've been really stressed out lately with exams and such- I think Yuri!!! on Ice is the only thing that has kept me going tbh 😂
