Training Wreak

"Yes, Chief Tyburg would like to see you in his office." Boden says. "He has requested that we keep this on the down low but he would like you to get qualified for squad."

"Ok then good work keep it up." Chief Tyburg says, "Oh and one more thing. If you do well we have plans to make you a squad lieutenant." I nod, as he reaches over the table and shakes my hand. I stand up and head to the door.

ONE WEEK LATER

*Kim's POV*

"Hey, Taylor what are you doing here?" I ask as Taylor walks into the meeting room in the fire house.

"Can't I come and visit my best friend?" He asks. I laugh as he sits down next to me. "So, what you doing?"

"Studying for squad." I reply.

"Well then let me help." He says sitting on the chair next to me.

"And what do you know about squad training?" I laugh. He shrugs, and opens one of the books. "Ok, Tay whats really going on?"

"It happened again." He says I look up from my book and look him in the eye.

"You need to tell some one. You cant let this go on." I say, he nods.

"I'll do something about it soon." he says, "please don't tell anyone." I nod. "lets lighten the mood, whats red, black and white all over?"

"What?" I shrug.

"A penguin in a blender." He laughs, "budum tsh." I Shake my head and laugh.

"Your a silly boy." I giggle closing my book and getting up.

"Thats why i'm your best friend." Taylor says.

"Sure thats why." I say sarcastically. "we'll i've got to make dinner. Are you gonna stay and eat with us?"

"Yea if thats cool with you guys." Taylor says.

I nod, "of course it is." We walk out into the kitchen and severide walks over to us as we pull the meat out of the fridge.

"Hey, have you read that book yet." Severide asks.

"Yea I read the book." I say.

"What book was it?" Herrmann asks. Shit, Shit, Shit If they find out all the secret training will be wreaked, well not really that big of a deal but we need to keep it secret.Severide and I glance at each other not knowing a good cover story.

"Just a book I recommended and told Severide about as well." Taylor says.

"Yea its pretty good." Severide says and i nod.

"Severide's interested in a book! What has this world come to?" Casey says. Herrmann walks out side laughing.

"Oi!" Severide says. I giggle. Severide walks around the kitchen bench and starts helping me get the meat out of the packets. He starts teaching me somethings that I will need to know in squad as he helps me cook dinner.

*Otis's POV*

"Hey, have you noticed that Severide is cooking dinner with the candidate." I say as I see squad sitting at the squad table. They all get up and walk to the door and peer in.

"Yea thats weird, have you guys noticed Severide helping the candidate with her homework and studying?" Tony says

"Yea, actually I have and they always seem to take her homework were no one can hear what their talking about. Like in the briefing room. And the training sessions that they've done on shift." Herrmann says.

"And whats with Halstead's tutors, I think I've seen one of them at the academy." Capp says.

"Yea, actually the 'tutor' that was here on Wednesday was an instructor at the academy when i... when i was qualifying for squad. And the guy from thursday he was lieutenant on squad at house 27 " Tony says.

"Hold on does anyone see whats happening here?" Herrmann says, "What are the odds that...Our SQUAD lieutenant, another SQUAD lieutenant and an INSTRUCTOR from the ACADEMY are all 'tutoring ' Halstead."

"And this only started after Halstead talked to Boden and Chief Tyburg." I say.

"Could it be? Halstead's training for Squad." Tony says.

"Wait why wouldn't they tell us that. I mean with Mills he would look at the equipment and sit at our table with Severide." Capp says.

"Actually now you mention it the other day I saw Severide and Halstead looking at the equipment in the squad, but i just figured that Halstead was talking to Severide as he was checking the equipment." I say.

*Halstead's POV*

"Chow time." I yell, everyone rushes up and grabs some food. Severide, Taylor and I grab our food and sit with everyone else.

"So, anyone training for anything?" Otis asks.

"Nah, I have like no time for anything." Capp says

"Yea, its not like your just to lazy." Severide says.

"Hey! Squad used to go and train on days off." Capp says

"Yea, until everyone got lazy." Severide says.

"Anyhow, i'm not training for anything." Herrmann says

"I'm training for a marathon, thats coming up." Dawson say.

*Herrmann's POV*

"I'm training for a marathon thats coming up." Dawson says

"Thats cool." Halstead says.

"What about you Halstead? You training for anything." I ask and see Severide's eyes flicker over to her.

"Actually yea, I forgot to tell you guys I'm training for..."

So i forgot to tell you that Lucas, Nick, Taylor, Lane, Jordan, Sarah and that. everyone from the school in fact are made up characters and all the people that came to the fire house to get lucas are also my made up characters.
