Autumn with Calum

Imagine..

It's a cold, brisk morning and the sky is a bright blue. You and Calum are cuddled up in your shared bed. You with your messy haired head on his chest and his arms wrapped protectively around your shoulders. Your eyes eventually flutter open and can't help but smile at your teddy bear of a boyfriend, sound asleep next to you. Slowly getting up and out of Calum's arms, you make your way downstairs.

The warmth from Calum now gone, you start to grow goosebumps up and down your body. Pulling the oversized flannel closer to your body, you head to the kitchen to make coffee. For the first time since you moved in together, Calum was right about one thing. The keurig coffee maker was the fastest way to brew coffee. 

As you wait for the water to heat up, you notice the pile upon piles of leaves in your backyard. Sighing with annoyance, you quickly make two cups of coffee and then walk back upstairs.

"Time to wake sleeping beauty.." you whisper with regret as you push the already opened door.

You walk to his side of the bed placing the hot cup on his side table and head to your closet. With every article of clothing you pulled out, you purposley threw towards Calum making him growl. He sits up with a pouty face. 

"Must you throw clothes at me while I'm sleeping?" he protested in his sleepy voice. Dead sexy sleepy voice.His warm eyes glaring at you.

Laughing a little, you walk to his side of the bed and hop up to sit. 

"I must especially when i need you to help me with something.." you say grinning and stealing a sip of his coffee.

"Hey!" He says shooing your hand away. "what do we need to do.." he asks suspiciously.

"Don't worry about it and just meet me outside when your dressed" you smile and peck his lips before disappearing into the bathroom to change.

Coming out in a flannel, jeans and combat boots you run downstairs again. You grab two rakes, two pairs of gloves and eventually make your way outside.

You decide to start while waiting for Calum and rake the warm colored leaves into one big pile. After about 5 minutes, Calum eventually sulks into the backyard and grabs the extra rake.Leaning against the handle of the rake, you catch him yawning like some kind of animal.

"Come on Princess wake up and help me out here." You say while putting the leaves in the pile. 

Whether it was calling him a princess or him genuinely wanting to help, he almost immediately starts raking the leaves on his side. 

After about an hour the two of you finally finish the leaves which leave you a little tired. Just as your about to go inside you hear a ruffling behind you. You turn around only to find a giddy smiling Calum throwing the neatly piled leaves into the air.

"Calum Hood!" you say with annoyance.

"Oh come on, it's fun. You do it" handing you a few leaves.

"No, i'm not a five year old" you tease sticking your tongue out.

"Okay..I won't force you but I wish you would have som-" stopping mid phrase throwing leaves at you.

Dropping your jaw, you grab more leaves and throw it at him. Before you know it you've broke out into a mini leaf war.

The two of you laughing uncontrollably, you surrender your leaves and just smile at Calum. He walks over to you and gently removes a leaf that got caught in your hair. His eyes haven't stopped sparkling since you got outside.

He pulls you into a hug and naturally kisses your forehead. Staring at the mess of leaves you'll have to clean up tomorrow.
