Imagine...

The day started off like any other day. You rolled out of bed as your alarm continued to blare into the early morning. It was about 7:30 in the morning and the world outside was very grey and very rainy. The kind of day that just made you want to curl back up under the blankets and sleep for a couple of more hours. But then you see the left over King of Noodles cup on the night stand next to you and you finally get up.

As you got up and hit the "stop" button on you're phone and placed it on the sink in the bathroom. You took a quick shower and changed into the all black uniform that made you feel more of a waitress than a barista. You pulled your hair back into a semi neat bun and quickly brushed your teeth. This was the same routine you had done repeatedly for the past 4 months. It was like your body and mind was on a constant loop, doing the same thing at the same exact time and the same exact way each time.

You walked out of the bathroom in your one bedroom apartment and slid your feet into all black converse and grabbed your clunky looking rain coat as well as your navy blue apron with your name tag. You grabbed your keys and made the dreaded walk down the stairs and into you're car.

For the past 4 months you're second home has become the coffee shop around the block from you're apartment building. It wasn't the most thrilling job but it paid the bills and it was easy work. Plus the staff was relatively friendly and the cafe gave off a really warm and cozy atmosphere. It was the social hub for the resident hipsters and coffee lovers. It also brought the occasional student and professors who would stop in on their way to the campus not far from where you were. But today would bring somebody in unlike alone you've ever met.

When you got to the cafe there were only a couple of people on line and one of your co-workers was already helping them. You give them a small smile as you power walked to the hooks behind the counter. You hung your damp coat on the hanger and quickly tied the apron around your waist. You washed your hands as if making coffee was brain surgery and helped you're co-worker with whatever order he was making. Like every other coffee place, the business day kind of goes in waves and this was just the start.

A couple of hours go by and the last time you looked at the clock, it read 8:15. It was now almost 11am and the crowd had gotten massive in that time. From making sure you got the orders right to actually making the orders, you felt like a chicken with your head caught off. The customers were starting to blend together too so when it came to giving the orders you went by what was on the cup and just prayed you were pronouncing the names right.

Everything was starting to blur together until one particular customer started to order. He was by far the most attractive guy you've ever seen. He was tall with beautiful dark tanned skin and with warm brown hairs and black hair that was tucked under a black beanie.

"Uh Hi, can i just get a coffee, black." he asked as he took out his wallet.

He spoke with a stutter but still confident sounding. His voice was a little raspy but the Australian accent he has was the most dangerous thing about him. It could turn any girl into a puddle.

He raised an eyebrow at you as he waits for an answer and holds out his money.

You snap out of you're little fantasy and nod your head a little too fast.

"Yeah, sure." you took his money and returned his change to him. You could see a hint of an initial that was tattooed by his hand.

"Name?" you asked casually as you grabbed a cup and a marker.

"Calum. Thank you." he said before going to sit down.

You didn't get a chance to respond before the next person started telling you their order. You took a deep sigh before writing down the next orders and preparing the cups with their names.
