"Grab your duffel bag! We don't want to be late for the first practice!" Yuri burst out of her room as soon as I said the last word. She had her hair in a high ponytail, her black hair cascading down her back. She was wearing a crop top and had the Talk Tok sweater tied around her waist. High waisted shorts were barely visible underneath the sweater, and black converse donned her feet. I wore a red beanie and a white collared shirt with suspenders.
We hopped into my red pickup truck and drove to the supposed area where the dance group was meeting up. "Can you believe it? There can only be twenty more people in the group, and we both made it." She shook her head. "No, I can't believe it whatsoever." I nodded, stepping on the pedal to accelerate.
We were both shaking with excitement as I parked my car and we swung our duffel bags over our shoulders. I ran in the doors, Yuri close behind. The bouncer-who wasn't really a bouncer because she was so delicate-smiled at us and bowed. "Annyeonghaseyo. My name is Kang Seulgi. Your names?" "Jeon Jungkook and Kwon Yuri." She scanned the list for our respective names and stepped aside so that we could enter the building. I worried slightly for her safety; what if a real threat came to the door and simply threw her aside like a ragdoll.
It was like a child going to Disney World. At least, for me. For Yuri, it might've been different. It might've been like going to heaven for her. Or fantasy jail. There, in the middle of the room, stood Kim Jongin and Kim Hyoyeon, the unbreakable duo. Word had gotten around that they'd gotten engaged last month, and were planning to have their wedding next year. When Yuri and I got close, we bowed. "Annyeonghaseyo," we chorused. "My name is Jeon Jungkook. And this is Kwon Yuri." They simply nodded. "We remember. From auditions. Did you make that mashup yourself?" Hyoyeon-ssi asked. "Ne," Yuri replied. "I am friends with EXO. I let them listen to it. They thought it was dope," Kai-ssi said, allowing a slight smile to turn up the corners of his mouth. "The first practice area is on the second floor. And the second practice area is on the third," Hyoyeon-ssi explained. "Most people use the first practice area, and it fills to its capacity quite soon. But you can at least try to get to it. The seniors and co-leaders are down here on their break, and they're the ones who usually use the first practice room. So hurry up."
When we got to the first practice area, it was filled up. When we got to the second practice area, it was filled up. Did Hyoyeon mention a third? We decided to try, since there was one more floor, and it seemed like the only logical explanation. Plus, more warm up! Woohoo. That was slightly sarcastic.
I opened the door, only to find three men. Dancing. They were all pretty handsome, with muscular arms, a clean shaven face, and all considerably tall. One problem: They were all shirtless. Yuri gasped and covered her eyes. I tried to keep myself from bursting out laughing. "Annyeong," they chorused, like nothing was wrong.
