:::BRUCE:::

Unbelievable!

Fucking unbelievable!

Keira was trying my patience and I didn't have much when it came to her. I had to damn near chase her around the damn hospital while our daughter lay in a hospital bed, fighting to get well, and she wants to be so damn dramatic.

Keira's cousin, Ashanti was in the room with Yasmin while I went around trying to look for her. I just wanted to get my damn phone back since her ass had it all damn day.

I hadn't talked to Tereny in damn near four hours all because Keira was waiting on her mother to call her and let her know if she was going to be coming by or not because her phone was turned off due to non-pay all because she spent her phone bill money on Yasmin's medicines. But I've had enough and I knew what she was up to. I just didn't have time for it.

Keira was nowhere in sight and I was starting to get frustrated with her.

I checked the lobby, outside, elevators, the back area where people went to smoke their cigarettes, the cafeteria, and even the each women's bathroom up in the spot from the emergency area and on the opposite side. She was nowhere to be found.

I was about to ask the receptionist at the desk if I could use a phone to call my wife when I saw Keira walking through the entrance, my phone in her hand as she looked down at it. The heat in my body was boiling over and it took all of me not to run over to her and strangle her tiny ass.

She was too involved in whatever was going on with my phone that she didn't notice me walking up to her. I snatched my phone out of her hand and saw that my battery was on 5%. What the fuck?

"Where the fuck were you with my phone?" I asked her, mad as hell.

"I had to call my father, is that a problem?" She asked me as if she'd done nothing wrong. "Goodness. Snatching your phone from me as if I wasn't supposed to have it when you gave it to me." She mumbled as she walked off.

"It's something wrong when I can't find you. You know I have to check in with Tereny. What's wrong with you?" I argue as we walk through the double doors to head back to Yasmin's room.

"Oh my God, here we go with her." She said, irritated.

"Man, you know I have to check up on her and my daughter to make sure they're alright and to see if they need anything. That's my responsibilities as a man, Keira. You're not the only one with my baby, man." I try to make her remember.

She stopped walking and leaned up against the wall, brushing her long curly hair away from her face and crossed her arms, staring at me as if I'd said something to hurt her feelings. I really didn't care. At that moment, I wanted a charger and I wanted to call my wife.

"You keep telling me that. In fact, you've been preaching that to me since we got back here at the hospital and I'm real tired of hearing it, Bruce." She said, her tone lighter than a few seconds ago. "Can you just refrain from reminding me every second that you have a wife and another daughter?"

"No! It's like I have to remind you every second so that I don't have to deal with you trying to tell me that I'm not happy with my wife when I know damn well that I am. I told you earlier that I'm happy with my wife. Okay?" I told her, referring to earlier when we went out to get food to eat. "Now, I'm here with you right now, only because our daughter is really sick and those nurses are trying to do all they can to break her fever. You should be worried about our daughter and not about what you want." I say, pointing my index finger into the center of her chest where her heart is. She rolled her eyes.
