:::BRUCE:::
After assuming Tereny was coming back to bed when she got up this morning, I'd realized after about an hour of lying there alone, she wasn't coming back, so I got up. I took my morning piss and handled my hygiene and walked across the hall to Britney's bedroom to check on her and Yasmin. Since Yasmin didn't have anywhere to sleep, I knew that Britney wouldn't mind sharing her bed for a night.
As I walked into the room, I saw Tereny just standing there at the crib watching the girls sleep peacefully. Just seeing the emotions written all over Tereny's face alone, had me feeling that she was feeling some type of way about Yasmin being here. But I assumed that making love to her would cure that for the most part. But, good dick couldn't solve all the problems.
Tereny was so into her emotions that she hadn't realized that I'd opened the door. She was just staring down into the crib as if her life was over or something. Just seeing my wife look like that had me feeling as if I'd done something wrong.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked her, startling her just a little bit. She was looking at me as if she'd seen a ghost as she touched her chest.
"I don't feel too good." She said as she walked away from the crib a bit, still staring inside. "I think I'm gonna go lay back down." She said as she brushed past me without another word. I watched her from behind as she walked into the bedroom and shut the door.
I don't know what that's all about, but I wasn't going to bother her with anything if she's not feeling good. My stomach had started growling, so I just walked downstairs and into the kitchen, flicking on the baby monitor so that I could hear whenever the girls woke up.
They were in that room sleeping like too restless businesswomen. Normally, Britney would be up and wanting to play, but I assume she isn't feeling too good either.
Starting breakfast, something told me to text Keira like I told Chris that I was going to do just to checkup on her and see if she was okay. So while I waited for the eggs to start cooking in the pot, I removed my phone from my sweatpants and had just decided to call her up instead. She answered the phone on the third ring.
"What's up, Keira? You heard from your dad?" I asked her.
"No. I don't know what's going on, but I'm going to try him a couple of more times before I just show up to his house unannounced. I just can't shake the feeling that something's wrong." Her voice sounded a little uneasy, but I wasn't worried about it. I was more so worried about Tereny up there. She was acting kind of funny.
"Oh, cool. So, if your father doesn't call you back today, what do you suggest? Are you going back home? You know Chris says it's okay if you stay there for a couple of more days with him." I offer. I could hear her sigh on the other end of the phone.
"I know. He told me it would be cool. I'm thinking about it. I'm sure my mom is going to put out an Amber Alert once my twenty-four hours is up. She'll do anything to shelter me back in. I figure I stay in hiding."
"I know you and your moms ain't on good terms right now, but the best thing you need to do is at least let her know that you're safe. I mean, you could possibly talk out your differences and things could be different." I say, wishing she'd take that route, but I knew Keira was a hothead and wanted to do things her way and no one else's way at all.
"Yea, you're right." She said, sounding the least interested. I wasn't sweating it. I just wanted everything to be okay. "So, what's Yasmin up to?" Keira had changed the subject.
"She's asleep."
"Oh, that's nice." She laughed a bit. "Is it okay if you bring her by for a little while to sit with me? Possibly get Chris to let her spend the night here, too?" She asked. As bad as I didn't want Yasmin there, but with me, Keira's her mother and I couldn't deny her that right.
