[Garrett's P.O.V]

After setting up, Elena and I drove to a nearby café, where we met up with Carson, Turk, and Dylan.

"Is the set up done?" Dylan asked sipping his coffee.

"Yup, it's done." Elena and I both replied.

"Carson and I already have the costumes. We'll start after we finish our drinks, but did you guys tell Elena's parents and your uncle to make the call?" Turk asked as he sipped a root beer he bought.

"I took care of that, no worries." Elena gently smiled at Turk, a smile she normally only showed in my presence.

What the hell? That smile is just for me--no no no, don't continue that line of thinking. Fuck.

"We've still got a lot of time, but we need to make sure they don't check this area early." I said quietly and cautiously.

"We may need to account for Sheila showing up for a surprise attack or something." Elena piped up surprisingly.

All three guys and myself just turned to look her, stunned she came up with that idea. Why didn't we think of that?

"We'll just make sure she doesn't go through, since this is personally between Clint and Jared." Carson said with a mischievous grin.

"I think we are all good guys. It's time for the final battle to go down."

Later that day, I walked into the alleyway, waiting for Jared Quinn. I had been brawling for all of my high school life; I had this feeling this brawl would be different than any other brawl I had ever been a part of. I was feeling a bit nervous and tense, knowing the consequences of messing up. Calm down Garrett, it's all up to you. Just be ready, stay focused. As soon as I finished my thought, I saw Jared Quinn walk into the alleyway, his figure seemingly larger.

"Where's the girl ..." He asked in low voice, instantly sounding frustrated.

"This is between you and me, forget about her."

"Hell no! The deal was to bring the girl here!" He growled louder, clenching his fists.

"There never was a deal. Plus, her parents have left the city, so you need to improve on your hostage taking skills."

Jared didn't even care about that now. He ran towards me, preparing to punch me, which I swiftly dodged. When he punched the wall, he held his hand in pain.

"What the fuck?!" He charged at me, throwing me into the wall, creating a tiny dent in the bricks. I felt my heart jump up, like I had the wind knocked out of me. I quickly recovered and blocked his next punch, holding my position.

"Admit it, asshole ..."

"Admit what, huh?" He said, enraged.

"Admit that you murdered my family! Admit that you killed my parents and my sister!"

"The orphan of that stupid family realizes it now? Hah!" Jared began to laugh maniacally, digging his fist harder against my forearm.

"It was such a nice day! The day my family eliminated yours ... and become so powerful!"

"You sadistic bastard!!" I yelled as I began to block harder, pushing him back slightly.

"I was just in the car with my family! Since we were in a armoured truck, we were able to easily ram that tiny ass sedan into the barrier, without a lot of fuss. The police are still in the dark about it too; they don't know it was my car and not the one behind me! It feels good to break you like this; I've been wanting this since you survived the accident!" He began laughing harder, his smirk twisted, eyes narrowed.
