Jon and Sam stay behind and take long breaths. "So now that you know who killed them, are you going to go back?"

"He killed my parents. I need to avenge them."

"But Joshua said not too," replies Sheba. "You can't disobey his orders. Besides, that figure could be anywhere."

Dave walks around the room thinking. "I can't just sit here. Can we at least find more evidence about him?"

Sheba nods and they lead Dave out of the basement. "Cassie, take Dave back to the novice's cabin."

Dave lets go of Sheba's hand and backs up. "You can't do that? I belong on this mission also."

"You'll only get in the way Dave. Besides like Joshua said, you're not strong enough yet."

Dave glares and curls his fists. "I'm better than you Sheba. You couldn't even take out the griffin or the giant freak during school, or the hell hounds. You were the one getting your butt kicked each time."

And then Dave whispers something. The boys whistle a uh oh as Sheba straightens herself and says, "What did you just say?"

"I said you're nothing but a—"

Sheba grabs Dave's arm and throws him out the door. Dave lands on the ground hard and moans. Sheba jumps out of the door and lands next to Dave. "Kinda sexist huh?"

Dave gets up and tries to throw a punch but Sheba grabs it and flips him over her back. Dave slams onto the ground,  his stomach feeling nausea as he tries to regain balance. "Come on Dave. Don't bite off what you can't chew."

Dave gets up with one knee and clutches his stomach. Anger reemerges and he run towards Sheba. Shea steps aside and slams her elbow in his spine. He goes down crying out in pain. Sheba puts one foot on his back and kneels down.

"Don't tell me that's all you got sweetie?"

"Get off of me," grits Dave.

"Make me, Descendant."

"Sheba that's enough," says Jon.

Sheba sticks her finger back towards him and Sam muffles a laugh at the sign. Jon sighs and watches as Sheba gets closer to Dave's face. "You know nothing about me. I've been here too long to fight with puny newbies. Respect your only girlfriend."

"You're not my girlfriend. I never had one at the beginning."

Sheba grimaces but then smiles. "Too bad. You're missing out on the fun."

Sheba then kicks his ribs and says, "Now you can take him."

Casie and the boy, George, grabs Dave who is hissing in pain as he's taken away. Sheba looks back and says, "What are you guys waiting for? Let's go research."

Dave is lead back to the cabin. Everyone else is probably doing something awesome, while I'm stuck here doing nothing but crying in pain, thought Dave as they lock the door.

Dave wonders what to do. He angrily throws a pillow. "This can't be happening. I'm the one who found the person but they won't even let me help!"

Dave flops on the bed and cover his face. He moans and screams out in frustration when a rock suddenly drops from his right. He looks and sees several large rocks on the bed stand. A note was placed beside the rocks saying, 'You know what to do.'

Dave didn't know whose handwriting it was but he thanks that person. If he can manipulate the rocks, then he will have a way out. But he didn't know how to. The rocks are lying there not moving as Dave tries to control them. He sees nothing moving and sits down in frustration, sweat and all.

Nothing is working, thought Dave. I need some help! Dave sits in defeat and decides to wait for the morning. But a voice enters his head. Pray for help.

"Who said that?"

Dave gets up and look around but no one is there with him. He sits back down but the voice reappears saying, "If you want help, pray for help."

"Pray?"

As in praying like in church you dumb nut, thought Dave.

Dave begins to kneel down and says, "Whoever is speaking to me, please help me use my powers. I need to avenge my family. Let me use them for justice."

He opens his eyes and sees nothing. "At least I feel a little better," groans Dave.

He closes his eyes and puts his hands in front of him. He gives a deep inhale and watches in amazement as the rocks float in the air. He gives out a cry of joy. He then turns his palm and motions for the rocks to come to him. The rocks float simultaneously to him and float around his palm. He is silent for several seconds before putting his right arm and back and thrusting the rocks towards the door.

The rocks make holes through the door and they come back like boomerangs. His accuracy is a little off. Dave tries again. He pulls back and thrusts the rocks again, this time hitting the doorknob. The door slams open and Dave watches in utter shock.

"That was so awesome!"

He looks out to see if anybody saw that but no one is watching. He walks out and hides behind the cabins. He slowly walks towards the entrance but a guard is there. He curses and slowly pulls his arm back. The guard looks about and begins to groan. He pulls out a walkies-talkie and says, "Sir, do I have to watch the entire time. I'm bored."

"Either shut up or you'll stay there the whole night!"

The guard groans and sits down. Dave drops the rocks and walks up next to him, startling him. "What the heck are you doing?"

"I was wondering if you could help me with something."

"Sure, not doing much anyway."

"I'm learning how to be a guard. Can you help me with that? What do I do first?"

"You um—wait a minute. You're the Descendant of David right?"

Dave puts his right palm up as the guard reaches for his walkies-talkie. "Can you contact someone to help me with the situation?"

"Yes I can," says the guard.

Before he call Dave thrusts his arm out, rocks knocking the device out of his hand and knocking him out. "Oops. Wasn't suppose to be like that."

He looks around to see if anybody saw the scene but once again, nobody is looking. Dave grabs the sword that's lying on his belt and looks at the gate. The gate is silver with blue aura all around it. The gates were long enough to stop anything from going out or in. He looks around for a key but couldn't find one. "Come on. How can I open this stupid gate?"

Dave throws his hands up releasing too many rocks. Dave hides beneath some bushes as several guards come to rescue the wounded guard. Dave watches and sees the person who is talking on the device. He sees several keys dangling from his belt. Dave cautiously throws some rocks at them and hides again. One of the guards comes closer and Dave knocks him down with the stolen sword. He then leaps from his hiding place and tackle the person down. "Get off of me," shouts the guard.

Dave slugs him in the face until he's knocked out cold. "Sorry sir, but avenging my parents is my mission right now."

He take the keys and unlocks the gates. The gate automatically close and locks. Dave looks behind and grabs the scimitar tightly. He starts to run down the hill, feeling the magical aura rubbing off of him.
