Dave knows he's in a dream as he tries to pinch himself. Nothing works. That no good Michal betrayed them and now Silas has them in his hands.
"This is just great," says Dave out loud.
"Yeah, I know how you feel," says a voice behind him.
He realizes that he is in a plain that stretches over miles and miles with one giant oak tree in the middle. The wind whips the grass, creating endless waves of grass. Dave turns and sees his ancestor lying on the tree.
"It seems you've gotten yourself into a bit of mess."
"Yeah, no help from you sir."
"Sorry kiddo, but I have my own problems to sort out."
"I guess you do oh wise one."
"Hey, without me you would've been with the Cloaks by now."
"Is that what you call them?"
"It's a terrible name I know, but you'll soon catch on."
Dave shakes his head but relaxes as David takes out some lemonade and pours it into a cup. "Would you like some?"
Dave nods his head, not believing that this could happen in his head.
"Believe Dave cause it can happen," says David without looking at him. "Come sit down so we can discuss this situation."
Dave hesitates but finally sits in front of him. "You know you remind me of him."
"Who?"
"Your biological father."
Dave stops talking as David looks at him sadly. "I'm really sorry about the death of your foster parents. They were great friends of mine."
Dave looks at the ground as David gives him a moment. "But now we have bigger problems. Beelzebub invaded Earth, yet you are still not able to fight him."
"Are you saying that I can't handle Beelzebub?"
"Yes. What happened the last time?"
"I did perfectly fine and how do you know about all of this? Where were you when my parents died? Where were you when we were defeated by Beelzebub? Where were you when the Cloaks tried to kill me again after you saved me huh?! You aren't a king. You're a coward."
David quickly appears in front of him and slams him down."If you weren't my descendant you would be in a lot of pain right now. Do you think I don't care about you? Who was the one who decided to go out on his own and try to avenge his foster parent's death? Who decided to trust Sheba after all the terrible things that happened at your school? Who decided again to go out and get himself into this mess huh? You did all of this without me, Dave. And for the record, if I am truly a coward then I would've left you there with the demon and the Cloak."
Dave closes his mouth as David lets go and straightens himself. "Get up and follow me."
Dave gets up and follows his ancestor towards a log cabin with torches surrounding the cabin. David opens the door and Dave walks in, smelling pine trees. "So do you believe that you are my descendant?"
"Duh? I mean I can control rocks for Christ sake!"
David laughs, while Dave looks at him with confusion. This was a man of great fortune and honor. He is a Descendant of a king. But why did it feel like something wasn't right.
"I see you are trying to figure something out, Dave."
"Yes I am. How can I defeat such an enemy?"
